Don't Buy From Here
Do not EVER buy from them. At least not online. They took 3 months just to finally "ship" my order. They sell products they don't have in store so you either have to wait months and months for them to ship it to you, or they apparently offer you a "better" product that's only similar to the one you purchased and it's always way cheaper than the one you purchased. And they don't refund the difference. So basically they"re making a huge profit. If you wanna wait literally 3-4 months literally just for your package to ship, than fine. Be wary of this place. Their customer service is non existent and they'll just ignore your emails if you have any complaints. Everything is always on back order. Save your self the trouble. Honestly.
Now I'm just hoping the package comes in good condition.

Awful Experience
TERRIBLE!!!! Attempted to take from me. I ordered a product and after not having received it for 2 weeks, I e-mailed customer service to find out the status of the order. After not getting a response for ANOTHER week, I called customer service. At first it was difficult to get through to them and then when I finally spoke to someone, he said that they puzzle I had ordered was out of stock and that I would not be able to get it. When I asked why my e-mail was not answered he said 'We get tons of them a day, it's impossible to answer all of them.' They did not give me ANY notification of this whatsoever and were essentially taking from me. I would have never known this unless I inquired- which thank goodness I did. The man I spoke with on the phone didn't really show any remorse or concern. Luckily they refunded my money, which was about the only thing they were good for. Needless to say, I found the same puzzle in target 5 dollars cheaper than on their website (not including the 8 dollar shipping charges) DON'T waste your time with them.

Order Still Not Shipped And No Contact From Customer Service
I ordered an item online on Sept. 13, paying extra for faster shipping. I quickly got a message that they got my order, then heard nothing. About ten days later I called and they said they had to back order the item, that it "should be in on Monday". I suggested that perhaps they should have notified me. I called again the following Thursday and they said they saw that it had reached California and would be in Illinois by Friday. I called again late on Oct. 2, and was told it "should probably be shipped tomorrow". This should have taken a week to receive (based on their chart), and it now will be over three -- without any contact from Oakridge to let me know that there has been any problem or delay. I am extremely disappointed and wish I would have been informed. I also think they should now at least offer to pay for the shipping!

I Ordered My Scx - Digital Electric Slot Car Race
I ordered my SCX - Digital Electric Slot Car Race Set on Tuesday and it delivered to my door on Friday! Service was excellent and product is exactly what I was looking for. We're already having a blast with the race set!
I was informed the following morning after ordering, from Oakridge Customer Service, that my order had been processed and was further updated a few hours later that it had shipped out the same day. Only thing I would have liked was that they sent me my tracking number when the order shipping so I could follow the progress. But with service like this, I really didn't need it! I will definitely order from Oakridge again.

I Placed An Order For A Scalextric Slot Car Race S
I placed an order for a Scalextric slot car race set via their online ordering system. They spent a lot of time on the phone providing me with information about each manufacturer's products and the good point and bad points of each set. They even sent me diagrams of different track layouts and helped me to order the track needed to accomplish the race layout that I wanted to build. My order arrived on time, and is better than I could have hoped. One of the reasons I chose to order from Oakridge Hobbies instead of the many other online vendors offering the same product (along with the amazing savings offered by your 1/32 slot car club), was the fact that they had a phone number listed on their site as well. Online ordering can be great, however, when the occasional problem arises I like the idea that I can call and speak to a real live person to resolve said problem. Oakridge Hobbies even has a separate phone number for customer service, which I also used on the rare occasion when a needed to reach them for technical support. Not many online retailers want to bother supporting a product that they sell, once they've got your money.

I Finally Received My Order A Week Late, But One I
I finally received my order a week late, but one item was missing. I was never notified that it was out of stock until I saw the shipping receipt with a remark upon opening the package(in that case I would have cancelled the entire order). No reaction to my e-mails. To me that is bad customer service and I will never order there again.

My Little Brother Gave Me His Christmas Money To O
My little brother gave me his Christmas money to order him one of their toy trucks. The total was $46.54. It took what seemed like forever to arrive and when it finally did it was broken! He never even took the twist ties off. Not to mention the truck was cheap plastic and way over priced to be no more than what it was. We could have went to WalMart and purchased a cheaper and better product. I called customer service that day and the guy told me not to ship it back if it was broke only to call me back later on to tell me that he had spoke to his boss and that i needed to. He really knew what he was doing huh!? He told me he was going to send me a shipping label. He never did. We have talked to 3 different people about this shipping label and supposedly all 3 have shipped another one! It has almost been a month now since we received the item and still no shipping label. What's even worse about this place is that when you call you talk to someone that either doesn't know what they are doing or is just telling you what you wanna hear and when you ask to speak with the manager, they are the manager! I see why this place is so awful...

Company Did Not Follow Through With Their Products
Company did not follow through with their products!! Items ordered Dec.7, never received follow-up email w/ shipping info, told some items on back order 6 days before xmas via telephone to company, telephone service for order info. not helpful ... actually cancelled an order instead of following customers request 5 days before xmas!!!!

I have ordered from Oakridge Hobbies many times for different purposes. I am in their Slot Club, and I like how I get additional discounts off their normal prices. I have relatives in my area that order from them too, and we all race together. Oakridge makes our hobby enjoyable.
