Great iron, my mum recommended it to me 1st of all now 3 of my friends have brought 1. While eating dinner no need to turn it off it goes on standby or just nipping to the toilet great feature on this. It looks very modern and comfortable when holding as some irons give blisters. Glides over the ironing better than many irons i've used.

I've had the Phillips GC4340 for 3 years now and I can't faught it! It's not too heavy, never leaked on me and basically is good at what it does. I'm just looking at buying another for my other place and found a bargain as the new model is now out. The iron originally cost over £70 and now is around £39. The new model just out that just looks different and probably slightly lighter, is over £80! Found it on Amazon.

This Philips GC4340 Azur Precise iron has nice features but constantly creates shortcuts. I had to change after one year.

Phillips is the worst house hold device I have bought. I had bought a cordless phone it got spoiled in 9 months, then another Iron it got spoiled in 2 years.

Best iron I've ever had - and I've had a few! Good weight, holds more water than average

"FABAROONIE" as my little boy would say and I cant believe I'm gonna say this but I would almost say that ironing is becoming quite pleasurable .................................. well anything that helps us ladies get through huge piles of ironing has got to be someone pleasurable!!
Give it a try not the cheapest on the market but well worth the extra couple of quid.

My Philips GC4340 steam iron leaked and the steam function was very poor!
I use irons in my everyday job, and I found this iron to under perform.
It is a great looking iron with a large capacity water tank, but it doesn't do the job as described. Shame.

If steam function was poor then there may have been a fault with the iron. My steam function was superb at the beginning and then went right down after about 8 months. I suspect that the element was no longer working properly and I now have a replacement under warranty!
