Intempo IDS-01b iPod Docking Station

I got this iPod dock for Christmas '07 along shortly after getting my 4Gb iPod Nano (3rd Generation). And they go together perfectly.The first thing you will notice when you unbox the dock is that it contains everything you need (so no extra purchases). It includes the Power Supply, USB Cable and some rubber placers to ensure a good fit for all sizes of iPod or MP3 Player.Prehaps the best thing that sets this dock apart from all the other docks is the user controllability of the bass and treble settings. It's a simple setup using the remote with Bass and Treble up and down buttons.Another nice feature of this dock is with a cable (which you can buy separately for cheap) can connect your dock with your television or laptop through the headphone jack to the line in on the dock, so you can experience the sound quality with more than just your ipod.A good point of the remote with the system is that is it blissfully simple, with an on/off button, volume control, track skipping, play/pause and bass/treble adjustment. No un-necessary buttons.You can also synchronize iPod nano and above from this dock to your iTunes as well as charging your iPod while listening, as opposed to plugging your iPod in via USB cable to charge.The only problem I found with this dock is that if you turn the dock off and on again you lose any custom setting you've done with the bass and treble, but since the setup is so easy to use anyway, it's not hard to set it up again - in fact it takes seconds.

Tried many other makes in Currys, Comet & the sound quality on the Intempo far exceeded the other brands. I paid £39.99 at the time & think this unit is excellent value for money

This thing blows the competition away, I love all music, mostly hard rock and techno, considering for this size of the unit, this thing rocks.

We auditioned probably 15-20 similar items in Currys, PC World and Comet, and this is the best sounding system for the money.

bass is very controlled and reasonably deep for the size of the unit while treble is clear but not too shrill. It's also very loud without distortion when compared to similar items.

100% if you want to hear your music rather than have a flashy looking dock station.

I marked the Intempo down on value, because I think £100 is a bit steep for a "portable" speaker, but when put side to side with the competition, this unit blows them all away.
