hello i went into the new NEW TESCO EXTRA STORE IN ACCRINGTON in well will i be going back no way.
it cost so much for food,clothes iwas very shocked.
i also went into the cafe with my mother i ordered 2 coffee and it cost just short of a £5.00 and it was rubbish, the bread was stale the chips and soup were cold you would need to rob a bank to eat in here it was so pricey.
the childrens meal was 5 chips,4 dippers and some peas and cost nearly £2.00 my son didnt eat it as the chips were very cold by the time we did get it.
so if you do intend to eat please look at the price of things before as we didnt and it cost near £15 for what we had. (2 coffee, childs meal,and sandwich)
so if you intend to eat together you wont as the food you order comes at different times.
the toilets near the cafe were shocking i had to go and get one of the staff someone had poo all over the toilet there were no toilet rolls and it looked like it hadnt been cleaned for a few days.
i will never step foot over tesco again over priced i will shop else were.

Took 3 hours to work out and place items in basket. didnt arrive in allocated slot after taking morning off work. Called chargeble call 40 mins after time slot had lapsed they said the van had been delayed on his first job (so why didnt they send an email or call to say he was running late from the beginning)and would be there in 45 mins. after 2 and a half hours after the order was due i called back again (another chargeble call)to be told that our order had been cancelled and we would get no conpensation. they were absolutely no help atall and we have decided to boycott Tesco now. Should have realised they were incompetant as my parents also have had numerous dificulties with them and now they shop at m&s. So Tesco have lost in total 4 well paying customers.

Large range on show. When something went wrong the customer complaints line was pathetic! Do not expect any help from my experience, we posted back a cd that was incorrect after contacting them only for Tesco to claim they never got it back. Ok till something goes wrong, you are much better off elsewhere, try Play or HMV instead.

I needed some law books for my daughter at university. Everywhere was very expensive, so I gave Tesco Online a shot. They had the books in stock, and also offered free delivery for orders over £40. I ordered the books on the Thursday evening and saved £15. They arrived at 07.30 on the Saturday morning.

After previously ordering an Evening with Matt Monro DVD for my Mum for Xmas from 101CD, and this being on order from them for 4 weeks, I decided to cancel this order and try Tesco Extra. I had ordered goods from them before, successfully, but I sometimes forget they are there!

The search engine within the site is simple and returns accurate results, on which the buyer is able to click to launch the product to view and/or buy.
As with other sites, you are able to browse and add items to your basket as you wish.
The checkout process is simple and straightforward, and secure and an order number is provided, which enables the process to be followed, if required.
A confirmation email was sent from the site, with the anticipated delivery date. The DVD actually arrived the next day. Excellent!
I had a similar issue trying to buy Acoustic Love CD for my partner for a gift, too. Order originally placed with 101CD, but order shown in process, then out of stock, then on back order, and then not moved for 4 weeks too. I Cancelled this order and re-ordered from Tesco Extra.

The website informs the buyer that it might be cheaper to buy the item from Tesco Extra Jersey, as no VAT is to be paid. They link directly to this section of the site and the process is the same, with no further registration, etc. The CD was actually cheaper than 101CD too. I ordered on Monday and delivery is expected tomorrow (Wednesday). Very good.

Note that as the service I have received has been good, I have not had need to use customer services.
