I always look forward to coming to this gym to do my work outs where everyone is welcome no matter how young, old and condition of fitness. Value for money is great too.

Keepersfit gym opened in March 2005, it is just what the small town of Abergavenny needs.
There is ample CV equipment, plenty of fixed weight stations and more free weights than even Arnie would know what to do with. There is an exercise studio with a good selection of classes catering for all fitnees abilities and also kids classes which is great, having said that youngsters can also use some of the CV equipment when accompanied by an adult.
There is a good personable atmosphere, the instructors actually talk to the members about life in general, not just count reps. Plenty of advice on diet and exercise programmes which are reviewed as and when you want, so you don't have to feel bored or use machines you don't like.
I can go before work during the week as they open at 7am and then my other half goes after work sometimes being asked to leave as they are closing the doors at 10pm. I admit it's not often I choose to go at the weekend but they are open weekends and bank holidays, 9-4, so it gets me away from the footie on the tv and even if I don't actually do much of a work out I can have a nice quiet coffee in the cafe area.
Oh the no mirrors thing, great idea, theres nothing worse than staring at yourself all red faced and sweaty on a treadmill, so I stare at the tv screen instead, much better to pass the 20 minutes I have to do.
They do free inductions, but you will need to book as they are at set times in the week, but still on a one to one basis, none of this pay up front joining fee either and do several different levels of payment, which isn't pushed on you either.
All in all its a relaxed friendly place where even the gym virgins can go and feel at home with the gym veterans.......that's nearly me!!
