Used to spend at least £50 a month on this site, have been using it for a couple of years and never had any problems. All of a sudden last month I was charged an extra £5.00 delivery charge to my address in Northern Ireland. No idea when this was introduced and no idea why when its Parcel Force who deliver and they do not charge any extra to send post from Northern Ireland to England so why the extra charge from Whisky Exchange. Anyway I wrote to them and did not get any reply or explanation, they have lost a very good customer and I can get a great range of whisky from another site who does not charge a rediculous amount for postage.

I was very impressed with the Web Site, and as my Son had particularly requested Jack Daniels 1954 Gold Medal for his 30th Birthday present, I was quick to place an order, not requesting a special delivery as I was assured on line it would be 3/4 days and I had 9 days until the actual Birthday. I waited until the 5th day until an email arrived telling me to track my delivery, and that it had only just been collected by Parcel Force, which meant it was'nt going to arrive by Saturday May 21st as I had requested as a final delivery date. Assuming 3/4 days was from placing the order. I sent an email to Parcel Force asking if it was possible to take this parcel to my nearest Post Office if I wasnt in, as I was due to work on the Monday afternoon as I hadnt anticipated the parcel arriving on that day. I had an automated reply, and it said someone would contact me shortly. No one did! So I waited from 7oclock in the morning, hoping the parcel would arrive that day, and not be taken back to Essex to their depot if they found I wasnt in. All this was very stressful, as it was the day before the Big Day and I had so many things to organise. Thankfully, an hour before I was due to leave home for work, Parcel Force arrived with the parcel, and I was able to wrap it up ready to give to my son the next day on his Birthday. I would order again from The Whisky Exchange, and recommend them to my friends, but would only ever request the next day delivery at an extra charge. I would like to add, my Son was really pleased with his gift, but I was disappointed having to feel at the mercy of Parcel Force to make this happen.

Overall, I was happy, but I cannot give a full 5 stars because one of the products I selected and purchased on-line, was not available.
In fairness, I was contacted by the post-sales team, and a ful explanation was given, but I was dissapointed that the product I selected was discontinued. That being the case, it should not have been available to "select" on-line. Apart from that, the service was excellent

When i look back through the orders i have placed with the Whisky Exchange and the amount of money that has changed hands. I feel slightly begrudged at the fact that i have never been offered any kind of loyalty reward. I can buy a bunch of bananas from my supermarket for a few pounds and get loyalty points and yet when i spend 600 pounds on the Whisky Exchange i dont even get free delivery!

I purchased three bottles of malt whisky as it is limited supply. On opening the packaging, which was very good, I was very disappionted to find the bottles were not in the boxes which were shown in the website. In my opinion the boxes are an essential part of the item and complement the whole package. It is the reason why I awarded three stars and not four. The ommission of the boxes should have been made clear prior to purchase.

No issue with the supplier. Goods were delivered and I was not in. I re-arranged a delivery which never arrived and eventually had to pick up from local post office. No communication or response received from the delivery company!

An experts' comments on the different brands of Armagnac would been of help as I was choosing gift for a friend, not for myself.

The delivery and action time taken was excellent. i got what i wanted well in time and safely.
The packaging was great and well delivered very professionally.
I did feel however that the product and service was a bit too pricey. However since this was a difficult to get item and i have promised it to my son, this aspect is bearable for once.

My only comment is, I sent you an e-mail to see if I qualified for the hip flask you were offering if I bought two of a certain whisky, but I had to send one to a freind , so I had to make two orders which ment it only looked like i had bought one. And i have still not had a reply or my hip flask.

Very peaty, perhaps more though than described on the website, certainly not a whiskey to be taken lightly!
