Philips 960

I am great fan of Philips Mobile phones and other Electronics goods from Philips. I am in the USA, and for me it was very difficult to buy this Philips 960 mobile phone, as Philips is not active in its Mobile business. So I purchased online and it cost me $375.

It's a good phone with good styling. It is working well for me. I can be very different from others, as nobody I know has the Philips 960. Everybody who sees it is surprised, and they say "a Philips mobile phone"? They never know that Philips also make mobile phones, but after seeing this beauty, they like it.

It has a lot of very good features, like a 2MP camera, MP3 Player and Video Recorder. It also has a good menu system. The picture quality is very good, but movie recording is very poor. It is 3GGP recording, and for less than one minute, it's basically for MMS purposes. The Philips 960 doesn't play MPEG4 or WMV files, which is a very bad point for this phone. It would have been great if they could have given it an MPEG4 recorder.

The Bluetooth, infrared and other feature are good. I am happy with this phone. Philips recently introduced a new model, the Philips 900, and it looks good. Once I have decided to upgrade, I will go for that. But Philips should be more aggressive with their marketing strategies. Not many people know that Philips make mobile phones, and they are good! It's true. I love Philips mobile phones.
