A great cocktail to make with it is - shot of goldschlager, shot of jaegermeister, lemonade and squeezed lime!! Its delicious, tastes just like those fizzy cola bottle sweets!

I first tried the Goldschlager on my birthday a couple of weeks ago. I must include in here that it left a bump on my tongue which killed for a week. It also made me feel like I was getting a cold when I did more than one shot, sort've the reverse affect of Sweet and Sour soup. Otherwise after my "First Time" with misses 'schlager I was in heaven. I happen to like those little atomic fireball, and if you do, you will love Goldschlager.

Goldschlager cinnamon schnapps has to be one of the most overrated liquerus I've encountered. It tastes of "hot cinnamon" (rather like a liquid "Atomic Fire Ball"). For purely pretentious reasons, the manufacturers saw fit to add little bits of gold foil, which when consumed, pass harmlessly through one's system (and whose only conceivable purpose would seem to be to increase the resale value of recovered sewage fertilizer. Go figure.) Goldschlager tastes like the afore mentioned cheap candy, and at 100 proof, can get one very intoxicated very quickly. That is, if one drinks sufficient quantities to get intoxicated-- which would be hard, condidering how insipid this pretentious potable really is.

To me Goldschlager tastes like a less offensive vodka. You drink it in shots. If i'm not mistaken it has tiny little bits of gold flake floating about in it, designed not only to look lovely but also to give your mouth and throat the tiniest little cuts allowing the alcohol to enter your blood stream quicker getting you even drunker than normal. A true drink of champions, Goldschlager is for you if you like carnage, trouble and mayhem on a night out.
