The Toyotal Yaris is a great car that is funky and practical for city life but there are a few things that let it down. The media unit for example, the CD player and radio channel select buttons are at the bottom of the unit where as the skip/next buttons are on the top of the unit beside the screen. And the digital dash might not be everyone's cup of tea because it looks miles away and the passenger is cut away from view of what speed you are doing. Don't Let these little things put you off though. The Yaris is a good choice with sliding rear seats and quirky exterior looks, it could be a first car choice for young drivers for years to come.

When travelling over surface water, a noise similar to stones being rattled in a tin can is observed in my Toyota Yaris Colour Collection 1.0.
This is due to the curved front windows moving away from the rubber seal when switched to the down position. Rain water/mist is taken down into the door interior, most of which remains on the windows on raising them. This presents a driving hazard - unless the rain/mist is removed by hand.

the second para of my review appears to be missing out on my comments. It should read - when switching front side windows to down position, any rain water/mist is taken down into the door interior. This is due to the curved glass moving away from the rubber seal. Then when raising the windows the rain water/mist reappears and to overcome a potential driving hazard needs cleaning by hand. keithjo

your copy of my e mail doesn't read correctly - The 'rattle' is not due to the curved windows! Please correct. Keithjo
