Glyn Peris Is In The Village Of Llanon In Mid Wale

Glyn Peris is in the village of Llanon in Mid Wales. Llanon is 8 miles south of the University town of Aberystwyth. The cottage is on a small holding approximately 200 metres from the road, with space to park.

The cottage is a modern barn conversion. The interior is highly modern. Stone tiled floor in the hall and kitchen with matching low line kitchen units, integral dishwasher and washing machine. The cooker is a separate ceramic hob and oven. The table is big enough to seat 6 comfortably.

The lounge is raised slightly and has a laminate floor with a Stove to provide heat if needed. There is a settee, and what looked like a fold down bed. A small TV, selection of chairs and paperback books are also provided.

Opposite the front door is the bathroom, with a white bath with shower over, also a toilet and an airing/drying cupboard. The bathroom also has a stone tiled floor.

Upstairs are two bedrooms. The smaller has space for a bunk bed and cot, or a small double; also a chest of drawers. The master bedroom has a double bed, there is also a wardrobe and chest of drawers. small window at floor level, and skylight windows in the roof.

The interior has a "Scandinavian" feel. Downstairs heating is the underfloor variety, whilst upstairs, heating is supplied by thermostatic controlled radiators.

All bedroom linen and towels are provided. I would suggest that you take your own dish washer tablets.

Only a couple of things let the cottage down. Some tourist leaflets are not for the current year, and the light switches are odd. In the main bedroom there is a wall light switch, but no centre light, there are however three table lamps. It was found that the table lamps can be independently controlled or switched on/off by the wall light switch.

In the village there is a Post Office/Shop, bakery and butchers, also a fish and chip shop. The fish and chip shop is excellent and good value. Most popular tourist attractions are within an hours drive, i.e. within 30-45 miles.

Just want to add we returned over the Easter Break for a nice week with our children - they can't wait to go back (again)!
