My Travel Republic 3k+ family package holiday to Cyprus was cancelled due to the August 23 Air Traffic Control meltdown. As they are now only ATOL registered and not ABTA like they used to be, I have lost a great deal of AI hotel money (2k+) and feel utterly dismayed, as they only agreed to refunding the flight and transfer. I will never risk booking through them again. They also did not contact me and I had to chase them - with difficulty. In future, I will opt only for ABTA registered travel agencies. Their agent told me prior to booking that I would be fully covered when I cautiously made enquiries. It now appears he was only referring to companies dissolving/going bust through ATOL. How naive of me. Now I know better.

I booked flights, transfers and accommodation through TR for a trip to Las Vegas for my wife’s 50th. BA cancelled one of the legs of the return flight. TR informed us if this, so we changed our plans to include a drive from Las Vegas to San Francisco. This meant leaving Las Vegas a day earlier. I asked TR to enquire about a refund for the last night at Caesars Palace. TR said they would get back to me, which they did not. A week or so later I phoned them and was told Caesars Palace would not refund the last night despite there being more than six weeks notice. I mentioned this on check in at Caesars and staff said TR would not be charged for our last night and I should ‘reach out’ to them for a refund after the trip. I did this a week ago and have heard nothing. I asked TR to keep our outbound flight from London to Las Vegas, but look at return flights from San Francisco to London. I was told this was not possible as we had to return from the same airport as their system did not allow multi-centre flights - despite every other online provider I looked at giving this option. As a result I cancelled all flights and rebooked through another provider. I was told I would receive a full refund but it may take a couple of weeks - that was on 20th November. We have been on the trip and back almost a week now - still no refund for over £1000 of flights, despite at least three chase ups. I will never use TR again and am happy to recount my experience to anyone seeking recommendations.

I have tried 3 times to make a payment online 3 times an error came up. Had to email to get someone to call me back after waiting 51 minutes in a queue only to get cut off. Each time they say they will report it to I T as no one else us experiencing any problems. ???

Booked return transfer for £66.00. Was not met in the early hours with a small child at the airport. Complained to Trustpilot. Received an answer that I will be contacted by in country group. Letter was Signed. Nobody contacted me and I had to buy a taxi again. No need to describe our frustration.

Same happened to me, booked £135 worth of airport pickup and drop off, Taxi didn't show up so had to make alternative arrangements, notify them at the airport 9 days before that I wish to cancel the return Taxi as I lost confidence in them, but wasn't cancelled they refuse to refund, customer service was in another country and time zone automated service was useless as it won't talk to me because it was booked by TR as the agent, 2 emails so far explaining that I didnt get what I paid for, now it's going to go to SCC.Avoid!

Hotel room was in desperate need of decorating. Paint peeling off walls, lots of mould on walls, extractor fan in bathroom not working causing terrible condensation in bedroom. Shower leaks under bathroom door into bedroom. Safe was not fixed and could be picked up in one hand and taken away. No hair dryer or tea making facilities. Breakfast was in a different hotel. Gym was not open.

So we should be on a plane now on the way to Eurodisney after getting up at 2am to travel to Bristol Airport. We arrived only to be told that there are no flights to paris today. Seriously unbelievable that Travel Republic did not contact us to tell us our flights had been cancelled. My two children are absolutely distraught. Really sad that what was a reputable company really cannot do better. I fully appreciate that the situation must be extremely difficult for them but to not care about their customers when children are involved is just awful. Like others have stated, there is no one answering calls or responding to emails, but I see they've had time to update their Facebook page with useless information. I cannot believe how badly they are letting customers down.

Do not book with this company. I had a holiday cancelled in november last year. I did not cancel it the airline who cancelled the flight. Travel republic refuses to refund my money. Contacted abta who advised me to use arbitration but this will cost me even more. Travel republic are a disgrace. They have my refund from british airways but refuse to give it to me. Appalling company book with them at your own risk. Would give a zero star if I could.

I’m a regular traveler and most of my holidays I tend to book them through lastminute.com. However this was my first time booking with travel republic and has been my biggest mistake. The have the most arrogant customer service staff and are never willing to help. The waiting time to get through to them is 40min. I’ve booked a holiday my entire family to Dubai which came up to 5k, due to the virus we don’t feel safe traveling and they are not willing to do anything to help, either change the date of the travel

I would NEVER use Travel Republic again or recommend them to anyone! Their customer service is appalling and disappointing!!! I initially raised a query with them on 5th October and messaged them multiple times for an update and I finally got a response on 20th November which didn’t solve my query, so I replied to them that day and then got another response on 3rd December and then I had to call them to finally get my query resolved as they were taking so long to reply to me and any response I had wasn’t very helpful! Surely it’s standard practice to keep a customer update to date with their query and if it’s taking long to solve, to apologise and provide a reason to why it’s taking so long! My query was finally resolved on 6th December!! So it’s taken over 2 months to solve a simple query of changing a name on a flight booking! It’s shocking! When I called Travel Republic multiple times for an update in between online messages and I mentioned how long I’d been waiting for my query to be solved, no one would apologise for the service I received and I was just put on hold and transferred from department to department! If I hadn’t paid such a large amount of money already, I would have definitely cancelled my booking and gone elsewhere!! Very disappointed!

Rooms filthy, no wardrobe just a a very small hanging rail. Didn’t feel safe and wouldn’t book there again.

I booked a holiday including transfers with TR. on arrival at Palma airport the transfer had not been received on the shuttle bus company system and they refused to take us to our hotel. We had to get a taxi at considerable expense. This was at the beginning of September and I am still yet to receive reimbursement for this despite numerous emails chasing my complaint. I will never book with this company again as their customer care is dreadful and extremely slow.

Cancelled our original booking 3 days before travelling for no reason what so ever. Very stressful time as booked for others. Not acceptable if wasent for lovely chap who managed to sort another accomodation we woukd have not been able to go.

This is the first time I have booked through Travel Republic and I experienced the poorest service imaginable. At 1444 hours on 23/09/2019 I booked 4 return flights from Glasgow to Orlando at a total cost of £1612. I immediately received an email with the headline 'Thanks for your Booking' and the only other information on email was regarding for me to set up a password for an account. My credit card was slso debited for £1612. About 34 minutes later by chance I was on Travel Republic website when I noticed that I had received a Notification that price of booking had increased by £372 to £1984. I immediately phoned customer services and was placed on hold. Over the next hour whilst on hold I replied twice to Notification requesting that someone phones me as I have been on hold for about a hour. I had to terminate call as had work commitments. The following morning I had not received any contact from Travel Republic however my credit card was debited so I presumed my flights were booked. About 1000 hours the following day I phoned customer services and after 2 hours on hold I was told to my disbelief that flights weren't booked and they were now £2072. SERIOUSLY!!! After speaking with an advisor I was basically told 'take it or leave it' and I reluctantly had to book them at the price of £2072. On the 24/09/2019 I submitted a complaint. I heard nothing back so after 20 days I had to contact customer services who said they would review matter and I would be contacted the following day. I was contacted the following day and I was told I would not be compensated. I was told that when I had replied to Notification that price had increased that no one read my reply to the following day so it would have been pointless me responding saying just book flights at increased price as I wouldn't have got them either. I am now taking the matter to ABTA. How can you receive an email saying 'Thanks for your Booking' and your credit card gets debited for over 21 hours if no booking has been made and Travel Republic had no intention of making that booking. The integrity of Travel Republic has to be called into question as they have sold flights under false pretences, they have gained out of it and I have lost out of it.

Very bad bad customer service. Had a problem with my booking and you said there’s nothing you can do and basically said I will loose all my money. Luckily for me I ended up contacting the hotel myself, who then managed to sort my problem out with the booking.

Stay away as you don't get what you pay for! Incredibly dispapointed by the way my booking has been handled. I booked a hotel for three nights with half board included. Half board means breakfast and dinner. What I found out afterwards from the hotel itself when confirming my booking was that the booking only included lunch. This was not written anywhere. I would never have made the booking if it only included lunch as we will be out all day. Now Travel Republic say they cant do anything other than try to ask for it to be changed as they use another party for the hotel room which has nothing to do with the actual hotel. Basically when booking with Travel Republic now there are so many parties betwen yourself and the hotel it is impossible to sepak to someone who can actually fix it, not just say they will speak to another company. It is disgraceful and starting to look like outright fraud. Stay away if you want a smooth experience for your trip.

Booked with this company many times but the last time everything went wrong. The room was simply not clean at the accommodation the bath had rust in it, there were chicken bones from the previous occupant, we were all itching and the bedding smelled fusty. We didn’t sleep on the beds Couldn’t stay here no other rooms available. Called emergency team at travel republic and was directed to an Indian call centre, with staff of poor knowledge. One told us to sleep in the lobby one said to check out and they would find us alternate accommodation , we did check out the next morning. No contact from them ever and we would be still sat in the lobby now. Starting legal procedure to recover money’s lost £108 phone bill, loss of excursions booked in advance and a loss of almost 2 days. Poor to say the least

this is 2nd holiday this year ruined by accommodation first bellemadeala then turkey 1st was supposed to be disabled friendly but over 25 steps just to get to pool and ramps so steep you need to be Arnold swatchniger to get up them and as for turkey it was a filthy dirty hotel and owner wouldnt let my dog stay here so all in all not happy with travel republic had thousands off us this year and both times been let down disgusting service honest reviews not just the good ones after looking on trip adviser we saw loads of reviews that were bad and had same experience we had why dont you publish them

Travel Republic consistently let you down and ruin your holiday plans. Last year our hotel in Benidorm was relocated miles away from our friends due to the one we booked A YEAR PRIOR being ‘overbooked’. We complained and got moved to another one which was like a hostel, extremely dirty and where people lived, it wasn’t even a hotel. Travel republic also relocated us and yet again said the hotel had overbooked, unfortunately our flights were cancelled but we never got a refund of our £800 hotel! The hotel kept the money, a hotel we didn’t even choose to book!!! THEN we booked in August 2017 to go to Praia da rocha in Portugal a year early, so 2 weeks before we’re due to fly out, travel republic Send me a message saying that we’re being relocated to a whole different resort around 30 miles away due to ‘contractual reasons’. The hotel they moved us to was a lot smaller and not quite what we wanted. All in all every time I have booked with travel republic it’s gone horribly wrong. The most unreliable holiday company EVER and I will never book anything with them again.

Terrible hotel offered by Travel Republic. Broken air conditioning made the room extremely hot and unbearable. Bathroom door not fitted to the frame correctly so didn't close. Toilet seat not fixed and came off the toilet. 16 year old girl running the place and she was very poor. She didn't know what to do and how to solve issues. They refused to fix anything and kept shrugging. Called Travel Republic but they did nothing for us. Travel Republic had very poor customer service and never resolved any of our issues.

Dusgrace of a tour operator and hotel. Do not go to this hotel or book with this company. I will be putting a review on trip advisor in case no one gets to see this. Stay away from this company and hotel.
