Ovacik Monta Verde

We done a last minute deal and was suppose to stay in the Hotel. But to our surprise it was full, so in turn they put us up in a 2 bedroom villa. It was fantastic. Clean very big, spacious. We really enjoyed our stay. Food was OK, not much of a good menu though. Staff very friendly. Lovely pool by our villa, it was quiet, but was not school hols yet so was a plus. I would def come here again and stay at the same hotel. I would HIGHLY recommend it. It was the reviews why I chose this hotel in the first place. Just a walk to the next main town. AAA+

We stayed in a villa. The pool was lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our love to Boro and Ata (spelling, sorry) who made our holiday. The food at the hotel was very good. The only complaint was the uncomfortable chairs in the villa, 2 kitchen chairs plus a hard put-u-up. Other than that the holiday was perfect.

every one was so nice , they were professional and kind it was a little remote but that was good. a bus passes every 5-10 min into the near by towns.bedrooms clean, bathrooms small but very clean. hotel postion was just what we were looking for.

they had turkish and english staff which was a bonus. on our visit they recently had refurbished and added anew turkish bath .. which i was the first customer. all in all nothing but praise looking forward to going next year . and i wont be the onlyone.small hotel but villas were 3 bedrooms and had their own pool,so 49 bedrooms 2 pools loads of sunbeds well done to the monte verde and all its staff

Just got back from our holiday at the Ovacik Monta Verde and had to say that we had a great time staying in this hotel. Having seen some reviews before we went we were a little worried but found most of the comments were not justified at all!

Staff were pleasant, hotel rooms were always clean and staying half board we found the food to be excellent. My only concern was that there could have been some children only options, as some children didn't eat the many salad and hot options on an evening. There was always 2 choices of breakfast cereal and toast for them though if they didn't want the typically Turkish breakfasts.

The pool was clean and very welcome after the searing heat during the day.

We did have a problem with air-con not working but got our money back for it and did without, also mini bar not very cool. We told staff that we were not prepared to run up a bar tab after hearing some people's stories of having been overcharged and this was not a problem. A distinct lack of daytime activities but some very good evening entertainment, particularly the fire show and the latin dancers. We met some lovely friends there and the size meant it was family atmosphere. We would go back, without a doubt!!!!!

just back rom the ovacik monta verde hotel rooms are basic bu spotless clean sheets and towels everyday food basic but wat was on ofer was okay entertainment team work very hard ovicik is beautiful lots to do plenty trips if you want or great for just relaxing bars and restuarants are very cheap all inall a great holiday was had thanks

Ovacik Monta Verde - Dirty rooms, faulty air-con, broken fridges/showers, incorrect charges for food & drinks etc etc. Waiting staff work like trojans and are very friendly but management are more interested in attracting paying diners than they are in the satisfaction of it's HB & B&B guests. "Entertainments" staff get paid for doing nothing and we had to organise events ourselves whilst one of them constanly swore in front of children and his English wife stood around and complained that it was too hot. Turkey is a great place to visit with a lovely climate, beautiful scenery and lots to do. Ovacik is within 5 minutes of the famous Blue Lagoon and lively Hisaronu but the Monta Verde should be relabelled the Monta Merde!

Ovacik Monta Verde is absolutley Fantastic! I completely agree with this review but i do think you get great value for money and you will be very happy if you stayed there.t

Firstly I really have to comment on other comments, some are utter tosh to be fair, ignore idiotic comments about the food etc, if you want to eat British food/don't like foreign food then stay at home/don't go half board, it's really very simple. Rooms are basic, but then that's why it's 3 star, if you want 5 star luxury then go to a 5 star hotel, and expect to pay several times more than it costs for this cheap and cheerful hotel.

I went mid June and it was brilliant sunshine and blue skies throughout, roasting hot, and I would recommend going at that time, not too hot, not too busy, not too expensive, just right.

The resort itself is a bit scruffy, but the beach is a short bus ride away and there are many excursions you can go on. The hotel is very clean and tidy too and the pool is the cleanest i've seen. Plenty sun beds, hammocks, 'chill out 'room and such like if you just want to kick back and relax.

The evening entertainment is good and the staff are really friendly and helpful.

The food is in fact a wee bit repetitive, especially breakfast, but it is well prepared and as I say of 3 star quality, if you want to be served truffles and caviar on a silver platter don't go half board at the Monta Verde, if you want to eat British junk food then I would question the logic of going abroad in the first place.

I stayed in one of the Ovacik Monta Verde villa's for two weeks in august 08. The villa's were cleaned daily,good size pool,always managed to get a sun lounger! Very friendly staff,made you feel very welcome,couldn't do enough for you.

Holiday i'll never forget (;

We had a lovely pool near our villa which was spoiled by Brits (who famously complain about other tourists) outrageously hogging the sunbeds by leaving their towels/books behind, from sunrise right through the day, whilst disappearing from time to time for a spot of lunch, a siesta or even an afternoon of shopping!

A beautiful region but if you travel abroad to experience other cultures and meet the natives then stay away! This resort, in fact the whole region (including Olu Deniz now, unfortunately) is dominated by beer-bellied, lager-swilling tattooed Brits who think it's exotic to down cocktails available from bars pandering to the sub-culture, with such names crude names. At best, they're only there for the sun, sea and sangria (whoops, sorry this is not Spain, is it?...yet!). Yep, the Brits have ruined beautiful and great parts of Espana and now they're taking over Turkey. We enjoyed our holiday for other reasons, but my family and I would not come back here, to this region again.

Please, nice Turkish people, be forewarned and manage your tourism well before it is too late!
