Goa, Candolim, Sunshine Park Hotel

me & my family had visited this bad resort in Nov-11, their is not staff to unload your luggage or to take it to your rooms even if your room is on the third floor. NO ROOM SERVICE, specially if you

are under MAP package you will be treated as if they are offering you food like they offer to beggars. They expect you to even being on a holiday get up at 9 am & finish your breakfast by 10.00 am & not even 10.15.

The whole staff including managers, waiters etc..are rude while talking (dat is applicable to whole Goa crowd), 0% hospitality is the law at this so called resort which actual is DHARAMSALA where you pay to just live rest all you should manage yourself.

The main thing one enjoys at vacation in hotels is food which is worst here applicable under MAP package if you order anything extra payable that will be tasty enough, again wrong hospitality attitude.

Apart from this they wont provide you glasses & ice to have liquor that you have in stock with you meaning you should buy it at 3times higher rate that the GOA rates.

After all this frustration of 3 days while checkout we had a loud verbal war with them as all of us were frustrated & wanted to screw them before checking out but all of staff are such they were to beat us with sticks & fully filled alcohol bottles , i can assure that if we had not stopped the argument 2/3 of us would have been killed by them.

I plead & request all of you who read my review do post it again from your end so that we can assure that nobody goes to this place ever in their life.

Candolim, Sunshine Park is a basic but clean hotel, staff are very helpful and friendly, situated close to main road but still quiet. Have been to this hotel 3 times, we mainly return because of the friendliness of the staff, we always have a good laugh and relax.

Generally the Sunshine Park Hotel in Candolim, Goa, is a very nice place to stay, had lovely holiday. Food in hotel was very nice and reasonably priced. Would have liked to have had public phone in hotel after 11p.m. after this time it's unplugged; due to time difference back home this was awkward.

Candolim is starting to get more and more developed, there is a lot of building work going on. However, this doesn't generate the normal noise pollution associated with building sites, as it is Goa and everything is done manually at a comfortable speed!

The driving in Goa is frantic and erratic, the standard of the taxi drivers varies greatly. If you find a careful driver then my tip would be to seek them out for any further excursions.

The Sunshine Park Hotel staff were very friendly (as they all are in Goa!) though watch the cheeky boy who collects the money for the mini bar as he 'forgets' to give you change and also always adds a little extra on top of the bill each time (shame because if he didn't you would give him that as a tip anyway!)

The food was good though I didn't eat there much as you are so close to the main road which has many lovely restaurants. Try the Seahorse at the end of the road, it has a simple menu but the food is good and the family who run it are real Goan people and are absolutely charming!

I liked my holiday because of the way the Sunshine Park Hotel staff including the house keeping were towards me.

The Sunshine park Hotel was in a great location only 10 minutes from the beach, it was ideal being so close to Baga without being right by all the bars as it can get quite busy. The staff we're also really friendly and couldn't do enough for us.The pool was a lovely size and there was a bit of shade if it got too hot. We had fantastic weather for the whole 2 weeks. The local people we're really friendly and polite. Overall we thought Goa was great and we couldn't have stayed in a better hotel.
