The JVC AV28GT1S Widescreen Television has a good picture. The usability is good, and it comes complete with a stand.
Unfortunately, after only 4 months, the zoom feature started to play up, and the picture started changing into strange shapes. I lost the 4:3 aspect completely, and also lost the top of the picture in all other zoom settings.

JVC AV28GT1S - Hmm 6 months lifespan on a JVC branded product. We'll see how long it lasts when it comes back from the warranty repair place.
Picture is pretty good, plenty of features and 3 scart sockets - see if you can find another sub £500 tv with more than 2!

I AM NOT TOO HAPPY WITH JVC.I GOT THIS JVC AV28GT1S TO REPLACE A JVC-AV28WTS (SEE MY REVIEW ON THIS SITE).
Every one kept telling me how unlucky I had been with the first set and so like a fool I got another.
Had to have it replaced straight away because of a faulty speaker.
After 4 months the screen went blank and a second later there was a bang.I am waiting for the engineer to come out.
Needless to say I won't be giving JVC MY BUISNESS AGAIN AND I mean it this time.
Very unlucky or poor quality components?

Here is an update:
I left off when my 3rd JVC TV had just blown up. I had this replaced in December 2003. This TV has just broken down after 17 months so that is 4 JVC TVs in just over 3 years.

Bad luck my ar**.
