Corbie - Near Amiens Le Macassar

We've just come back from a 3 day stay in Picardy, Northern France. Not really knowing the area we did our research on line and stumbled across the most amazing place to stay called Le Macassar. Its getting amazing reviews and I can certainly understand why. Firstly the property is absolutely gorgeous - a surprise given how plain it looks from the outside. Inside you find a haven of peace and tranquility with a beautiful sun filled courtyard garden and a luxurious private residence turned into a wonderful hotel. If you appreciated beautiful surroundings and objects (and who doesn't) - particularly art deco - you'll be blown away. But what surely makes this one of the best places we've ever stayed at were the hosts - they seem to truely love what they are doing and nothing is too much trouble. We were made to feel so welcome and at home that leaving was like saying goodbye to friends!!! Le Macassar is a place I'd recommend without hesitiation - get there before its fully booked!!
