This Film Made Me Feel Sick..not Much Can Do That.
This film made me feel sick..not much can do that.
I actually forgot the plot because the gore took over.
A let down because its all gore and the story line gets lost in it all.
Good Film Just Over Gory It Really Made Me Feel...
Good film just over gory it really made me feel....sick
And it was way more...sickening than scary.
Although if you like your blood and gore then Wolf Creek is by far the film for you.
Found Wolf Creek All Right, Very Sick Man Ivan Mil
Found Wolf Creek all right, very sick man Ivan Milat, the real life killer. I felt it could have used more gruesome scenes but that's just me...lol
I have to agree - I found the whole film a bit of a waste of time, three kids driving around Aus in an old car - not exactly riviting stuff. Eventually the film starts to get a bit interesting, but do they take it further - no!! Just when it starts to get good, it end. Boring and tedious - they could have done so much more with this, and it could have been excellent - unfortunately a complete let down.
Wolf Creek Is A Truly Hellish Ride. Based On A Tr
Wolf Creek is a truly hellish ride. Based on a true story and set in Australia in 1999, three backpackers, 2 British females and an Australian male, set off in an old car to drive cross country and on the way stop to visit Wolf Creek, a meteorite crater. The build-up to this takes about 40 minutes as you get to know the characters and bond with them. It's slow but not uneventful with some nice foreshadowing in a truck stop where a couple of local yokels threaten the backpackers.
Once at Wolf Creek they spend a happy day before returning to their car to discover that it will not start, so they are forced to just wait in the car in the dark in the middle of nowhere and hope someone drives past. After a few hours a local does happen upon them and offers to tow them back to his place where he can fix their car for them. They make the terrible decision to accept his offer of help.
From the moment they meet this man the horror just grows and grows. YOu can sense something is coming from the moment of his approach but have no indication of how terrifying and how gruesome it will be. Once it becomes realised all you will do is sit and scream at the screen and worry what comes next. Never mind that the action takes place either in near dark or on a flat plain where you can either not tell from which direction the bad will next come or where you can tell far too easily.
It's a well-made film which was helped along by my not knowing about the true story upon which it is based so I didn't know who lives and who dies, if anyone. It is made all the better even by my now acquired knowledge that nobody has ever been caught or prosecuted for the crime and it certainly does not have me rushing out to tour around the Australian outback, such was the full extent of the horror when it was revealed. To be fair, the characters made some stock horror errors such as not finishing the baddie off when they had the chance, or stopping too long to assess their surroundings, but these horror cliches did not dent the sheer awfulness of the situation. Wolf Creek is a brilliant, suspenseful film and it is highly recommended.
