We Were Invited Out For A Free Holiday To The Xemx
We were invited out for a free holiday to the Xemxija but we had to pay admin charges. The area was away from everything but a selection of buses passed by on the bottom of the street only snag was they stopped running at 7.30pm. As for walking into St Pauls Bugibba or Qowra it is a long walk ok if you are very fit. The accommodation is past its sell by date and If I wanted to buy a weeks holiday on this type of timeshare it would certainly not be there and more so after being told if we hadn't gone to the presentation they would have made us pay £1.800 pound for the disgusting room they had put us in, we did tell them from the beginning we would not buy.

Porto Azzurro, Xemxija The Hotel Had A
Porto Azzurro, Xemxija
The hotel had a full time Guest Representative who was available for most of the day, and between her and the Tour Operator Rep, we received excellent care and helpful advice. All staff were pleasant and helpful.
There was a food pack in the apartment on arrival with basics such as tea, bread, butter, bacon, eggs, milk and bottle of wine, etc.
Payment was made at the on-site mini market for items used. The mini market was well stocked and opened in the morning and late afternoon.
Food in the restaurant / bar was very good, and they had the best lasagne I have ever tasted.
A word of warning when ordering steaks... The Maltese like their meat a little less cooked than we do, so the well done equates to a medium etc.
The Hotel complex is busy during the day due to 'Holiday Share' sales being on-site, but in the evening it is peaceful and quiet. It would really benefit from redecoration.
The resort has a good selection of bars and restaurants, with food and drink at reasonable prices.
Car hire is available from the hotel, and there is excellent public transport links to the main centres.
For bus tours booked through the Tour Operator we were collected and dropped at the Hotel door.
All in all it was an excellent holiday. Good value for money, and the weather was brilliant too.
Xemxija, Porto Azzurro: The Food Is So Horrible, W
Xemxija, Porto Azzurro: The food is so horrible, we ended up buying a camping stove and cooked ourselves.....yes in our hotel room. I ordered prawns with rice and came out smelling of ammonia so, of course I sent it back. My boyfriend ordered vegetables on a bed of rice which came out without rice. It didn't have any sauce on it and potatoes were over cooked, but the cabbage was under cooked. The indoor pool and the jacuzzi were out of order for the whole 13 days although it has been advertised on their site as one of their attractive facilities. The bin in the room didn't get emptied everyday as a result we got a flipping cockroach. Also got a few crickets as well. The maid service was utterly appalling! All in all a very bad holiday. NO value for money.
