Written on: 13/09/2017 by Delaneyhu297 (1 review written)

Purchased Laura Ashley pale slate emulsion, lovely colour but nothing else about this paint is good watery and almost transparent. It took 4 coats of LA paint to cover a wall Which normally would have been adequately covered with 2!!! Still doesn't look right! !. very dissapointed and would definitely NOT recommend, waste of money. :(… Read Full Review

“Very Poor Product”

Written on: 29/04/2017

Purchased Duck Egg emulsion because we liked the colour. Applied to wall with roller ,and cutting in with good quality brush. Thankfully only applied to one feature wall ,which needed three coats to cover. When dry wall was very patchy and roller joins were prominent when viewed from the side. Wall now redecorated using Dulux emulsion. What an absolute waste of time and money . Do not purchase this product… Read Full Review

“Truly dreadful ”

Written on: 15/02/2017 by Paulmoty (1 review written)

Using Pale Ivory over a very pale grey needed 4 coats this an absolute joke also to add insult to injury the dry paint on the tray started pealing into the wet paint on the next coat causing even more work cost over £100 to paint one room… Read Full Review

“What a waste of money, like painting with skimmed milk.”

Written on: 30/09/2016 by Pussygal123 (1 review written)

I bought LA 'Old Rose' 2.5litres to paint my bedroom. I have never used such rubbish quality paint! It was like painting with skimmed milk. Complete waste of money and effort. Gave up in the end and bought a tin of decent paint. Tried contacting Homebase at Whitfield Dover, no-one returned my call. Tried contacting LA, pointless. Do not waste your money on this inferior quality emulsion as it is worse than 'value' type paints… Read Full Review

“Terrible quality paint”

Written on: 09/09/2016 by Taylorzn431 (1 review written)

Don't use Laura Ashley eggshell paint. It's thin and watery and doesn't do the job. Any B and Q or Homebase paint is preferable. They also refuse to give refunds for their sub standard product… Read Full Review

“Emulsion paint review”

Written on: 01/06/2016 by JourneyNoonan (1 review written)

After reading mixed reviews I was unsure if what to expect, I was swayed initially by the sale price I must admit as usually use a far more expensive paint but this was for a spare room . It went on well and although dried very quickly I was impressed with the finish , had great coverage and colours were true to samples Would defiantly use again… Read Full Review

“Laura Ashley Paint”

Written on: 30/04/2016 by 117Erickson (1 review written)

Ive had no trouble using this paint. I painted south facing bedroom in duck egg blue, it went on a dream. It even covered a dark wallpaper very well. I have painted the hallway in Sage underneath the dado rail and it looks lovely and my bedroom has now been painted in pale duck egg blue and it looks lovely. I bought the paint direct from Laura Ashley and would never buy from DIY Store. Dulux paint is also good I painted my bathroom in atmosphere which is a really pretty colour. I will be… Read Full Review

“Paint and Costumer service team”

Written on: 28/09/2015 by 187Kearney (1 review written)

I purchased two tins of Paint from Laura Ashley Pale Dove Grey only to find two different shades! Unfortunately my painters have put the roller on top of the tiny little batch code number which is on the tin lid, and to cut a long story short as I cannot show proof of the batch numbers being the same despite buying them from Laura Ashley on the same day (the last two tins) customer service will do nothing about it. Why I am so annoyed is that it has taken from September 10th with my initial… Read Full Review

“Terrible paint”

Written on: 04/09/2015 by Winterbourne (1 review written)

I also wish I'd read the reviews before buying Laura Ashley Pale Cranberry paint. It was horrible to use & after 4 coats you could still see brush marks & it was very patchy. We went out & bought Dulux Once in Roasted Red which is a million times better & only needed one coat. I bought two pots of Dulux for the same price as one tin of Laura Ashley. Avoid buying this awful paint… Read Full Review

“worst paint I've ever used”

Written on: 29/08/2015 by Headhq223 (1 review written)

Quite simply the worst paint I've ever used. Admittedly the colour was very nice, it took six coats to get a solid cover. Patchy, streaky, and very expensive. It took two tins to finish a feature wall. Really poor. Do yourself a favour and don't buy it. If you cannot find a colour you like more, buy a tester, paint a piece of paper six times and take to a place that has dulux magic eye system, it will cut paint cost and time in half… Read Full Review

“Patchy despite several attempts”

Written on: 26/08/2015 by Karam145 (1 review written)

We tried various painting methods including diluting it a little. But whether diluted or undiluted the end result is not at all smooth. We even tried using a clean brush every 20 minutes. The quality is appalling and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Looking front on, the finish is acceptable, but stand a little to the side and you can see every occasion where the brush has been lifted off the wall. We've never had this problem with any other paint previously… Read Full Review

“Rubbish”

Written on: 14/08/2015

I purchased two tins of Sapphire Blue. Applied first tin (as someone said, very, very patchy). Then I opened the second tin and started to touch up the patches. IT IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SHADE! The new tin is several degrees darker than the original. On phoning LA I was told the batch numbers have to be checked to ensure matching. I can appreciate there may be a slight variation but this is extreme and I have never, ever had this problem with other paints. I will never buy LA paint again. I… Read Full Review

“DO NOT BUY PAINT FROM DIY STORES IT'S NOT THE SAME ”

Written on: 18/07/2015 by PAINTERMAN1 (1 review written)

the problem arises when people buy laura ashley , crown , dulux , etc from diy stores. the paint is not the same as your decorator buys from the trade counter. this is because it is custom mixed with the appropriate base coat for the wall / surface type in your home. the paint is of much higher specification than you can buy in the diy store. you would be better buying your paint from a small independent retail supplier who mixes the paint for you, be it dulux crown etc if you're doing the… Read Full Review

“Laura Ashley Duck Egg Paint - rubbish”

Written on: 09/07/2015

I bought a load of Laura Ashley 'Duck Egg' towels & thought I'd freshen up a mirror frame in the bathroom by painting it with Laura Ashley Duck Egg paint. Horrible to apply, even with a top quality 'Purdy' brush & 3 coats later I find it's nothing like the colour of the towels! All that wasted effort. I'm off to Dulux now.... Really cross!… Read Full Review

“Patchy finish - impossible to get rid of lines”

Written on: 05/05/2015 by Keyon170 (1 review written)

Bought Grape Matt Laura Ashley emulsion from Homebase. After two coats the result is very patchy. Impossible to blend in brushed edges with roller. Tried different rollers and brushes but same result - awful. Trying to over paint with a mixed Dulux paint of the same colour (they can now match the exact colour by scanning the Laura Ashley paint tin - briliant!). It is still difficult to paint over with the Dulux, the dried Laura Ashley paint seems to stick to the brush! Awful, will never… Read Full Review

“Rubbish”

Written on: 07/04/2015 by Morsekd213 (1 review written)

Wish I'd looked on here before buying Laura Ashley paint. Got mine in Homebase, maybe it's not the same quality as the paint sold in Laura Ashley stores. we are not novice decorators, my husband is tearing his hair out trying to apply this product to well prepared white undercoated walls. A previous contributor advises against whining, but the whole point of sites like this is to share experience of the product, good or bad. It seems that most of that experience, in this case, is bad!… Read Full Review
