Yes the books are cheap. However packaging has gone down hill. Poorly packaged books arrived damaged. 2 emails on their contact form plus a 15 min wait on the phone each day for a week with no answer. In the end I gave up and got a credit card refund

Order took a week to arrive and 1 book was missing without any explanation. Seems to be a waste of time e-mailing and don't waste your time or money trying to phone; you won't get through! No information given on queue position etc, totally frustrating! It would seem that they are only interested in getting your money; Lord knows how long it will take to get a refund. My advice is go to Amazon; they offer a much better service. They might be slightly dearer on occasion but they have more interest in their customers!

I've used The Book People a number of times - they have some really good deals but their choice of courier lets them down... Yodel (formerly Home Delivery Network) are not too fussy about where they leave packages if you're not in. I contacted TBP after it happened the first time & they assured me it wouldn't happen again, but it did.

I ordered The Hunger Games set for £4.99 including delivery (free via a coupon). After it was dispatched, I was sent a tracking number for use with the courier ; HDNL. Anyone who has used this courier before will know that they are lying, lazy, scumbags who will do anything to avoid doing their job of delivering packages. Had The Book People used a reputable firm, they would be getting Four or Five stars from me. Their website itself is great, their stock is great, their deals are great. It is solely for the reason they use HDNL that I am rating them so poorly. Sort it out and I'll gladly re-review.

Found this website by surprise, took a good long look at the different books and think the price is good.
