A Beautiful Car, Ours Regularly Upstages Ferarris
A beautiful car, ours regularly upstages Ferarris in car parks as it draws crowds! Usually fairly free from rust comparred to other Minis of a similar age as they were very expensive new and hence tend to have been garaged and looked after. If looking to buy one, try to find a nice original example, as they are hard to put right, and it's the original ones that hold value. Remember, only about 250 were made, so Cabrio specific parts are hard to source.
I found this review somewhat helpful because...some of the comments were true yet a lot are not.Performance as commented on is good and value for money i would agree with. In fact rover produced 300 examples of this car with Lamm producing 75 of the much inferior mayfair based vehicle. The bodykit is freely available in either single pieces or a complete kit. I cannot agree that the roof is hard to source or replace as varied trim companies can manufacture and supply said item in varied colours. As an owner of three of the actual Rover cabriolet cars-two original and one modified i cannot agree that you should only consider original spec cars from an investment point of view. If you love mini you will love the cabriolet-on a summers day top down hair flowing-smile!!

The Rover Mini Cabriolet 1.3 Spi Is A Rare And Att
The Rover Mini Cabriolet 1.3 SPi is a rare and attention seeking little car.
1/ The wheels shown in the photograph are not the standard ones. The ones supplied with the car new were revolution 5 spokes.
Diameter was 12 inches as compared to 13 for the Lamm.
2/ Where did the total number produced come from please? Do we have a breakdown of UK v Export or any breakdown based on the three colours produced?
