This airline is no more which is a shame as I thought it was much better than all the other budget airlines. Will have to travel BMI now, NEVER Ryan Air.

We Flew To Malta With British Jet In 2007 And Had

We flew to Malta with British Jet in 2007 and had no major complaints with the service. It is a no-frills approach and included a hot meal and staff seemed helpful. On our flight the pilot was particularly informative. The plane itself seemed a little old, but we felt confident that it was in full working order and we arrived at our destination safely. Value for Money, Staff seemed friendly, very informative lady pilot.

They Changed The Flight Several Times. I Cancel My

They changed the flight several times. I cancel my booking according to EEC and passengers rights. I want a refund of my money and they refused to pay, even the taxes they charge for. They didn't contact me once about changes they made. I booked for departure 02.07. They changed it 04.07 and to 05.07. the last is 03.07.

Since I come from Norway this means extra cost with hotels in London and to rebook my tickets from Norway.

Staff Are Friendly And Helpful. My Child Became Il

Staff are friendly and helpful. My child became ill once we boarded and the staff helped her. They are good value for money. Food was good and I will fly with British jet again. Found them better than EasyJet and their flights are affordable with no hidden charges like some other airlines.

I Travel Around The World And For British Jet Bein

I travel around the world and for British Jet being a cheap airline I have to say it is outstanding

I have not come across any airway that gives you free hot meals on flight and they are really nice too - especially the chicken in pesto sauce.

Staff At London Office Very Abrupt And Bad Mannere

Staff at London Office very abrupt and bad mannered. How were they employed by British Jet to be responsible for dealing with the Public.

Don't no yet till I have actually flown with them next Friday but so far I think i will stick with Air Malta . Have had no reason to complain about their staff during the past 5 years and I fly to Malta 3/4 time a year.

This Airline Was A Disaster From Flight Out To Mal

This airline was a disaster from flight out to Malta to return. OK! flight out was lack of information - not told we were going via Newcastle which caused a bit of a panic at first.

Check-in was at 6.00am in Malta - we were first in queue. By time queue to end of aisle - still no staff. At 6.30 am told by Air Malta lady (very kind) that plane delayed and Rep would be there at 9.00am to tell us what was happening. She later returned and said Rep would be with us in half an hour, then again when that deadline passed he would be here in 45 minutes.

When Rep turned up he told us we would be taken by coach to an hotel in Buggiba and collected for return at noon. When questioned he said it was the Palm Court Hotel and this raised a massive laugh from many of the Malta regulars who promptly refused to go there. We went - what a mistake to make. Hotel was filthy, smelly, food was disgusting and most chose to sit outside on the street while there. See more reviews on this hotel which I understand is part of the British Jet setup

Apart from some poor souls who must have no sense of smell and stomachs of steel the average of 1/10 is generous to say the least. We bought water from shop across the road rather than risk the hotels fare. The hotel refused to help a lady with child who needed their bottle sterilising.

Eventually the Rep turned up at the hotel but told us nothing more for nearly an hour. We eventually boarded the coaches and were returned to the airport for ..."a flight at about 3.00pm". "The aircraft had been delayed in Stockholm and was on its way".

Halfway through check-in the Rep closed one of the two lanes and it was brought to a trickle. We got checked in and into the Departure Lounge and could at least get food and drink at our own expense - nothing at all from British Jet. The Rep was conspicuous by his absence. Eventually, after repeated telephone calls from the Departure Desk by passengers the Rep turned up. He said "I can't see why you are complaining. It is a low cost airline". He would do nothing to assist some very aged passengers or a lady with a young child who needed feeding. I appreciate that the Rep might have been given instructions not to give us any drinks/meal vouchers but he was just uncaring in his attitude and totally uncommunicative - responding only to people getting in front of him and demanding answers.

By 4.30pm still nothing and when questioned he could give no more information other than it was on the way from Stockholm and we would fly at 5.30pm. - we then pointed out that the Departures Board said 6.30pm!

We eventually flew out at about 7.15pm (thirteen and a quarter hours after official Check-in) on the only aircraft British Jet has - an MD90 - which had, we were told by the crew, flown to Malta from Zurich.

It was only the helpfulness of the crew and our delight at being given a hot meal on the aircraft that I give a 1/10 overall rating.

I didn't book with these for a cheap flight but because they were the nearest airport on the date I wished to travel. Had my car not been at Leeds Bradford, I would have tried to book a flight with Air Malta to Manchester.

This airline is like its hotel (The Palm Court in Buggiba) a disgrace.

This Airline Are Totally Lacking In Communication

This airline are totally lacking in communication skills - as you will see from my posting about the return flight. If you can take another carrier - do so. They have one aircraft - an MD90 leased from Hello (Swiss but doesn't run like a well oiled watch) - which has seen plenty of hours. Lands like a bag of spuds being thrown at the runway from a mile up. Very noisy (twin rear engine) - get near the front - I bought earplugs for the return flight - bliss!

My review here is for this flight alone - the return was a nightmare solely due to the standard of the British Jet Com rep in Malta, and the state of the hotel we were sent to which I understand is owned by the same people.

Airline reportedly changes hands in May - bought out by Air Malta who are to operate it as Malta Bargain Airline.
