Sad to say, but Pink Floyd has gotten to that point in their career where all they can hope for is some nice selling best-of albums and box sets and a nice retirement home. And this is their best of album.
Though the only "complete" way to get Pink Floyd's total discography is by buying every one of them, plus the early singles album Relics, and even then you are missing some great early floyd. But this album is an ok career spanning best of album. With way too much 1990's Floyd, and not enough 1969-1972 Floyd, this is a disappointment to fans who wanted a really great best of album. One high point is the awesome Storm Thorgerson artwork, who shows us all how he is the heart of Pink Floyd artwork and that time can't stop a truly great artist.
But pretty album art can't save this scrappy compilation. Just buy Oh By the way, the Pink Floyd box set, and be happy. (P.S, Kudos on the Syd Songs!)
