Terrible Online Service
Bought 2 dresses online last week. Arrived, one faulty and the other the wrong size sent. Sent them back the following day in the same parcel. Had email this morning telling me they have processed refund for one of the dresses. Called customer service and told them that the parcel contained 2 dresses and was told that I had to prove that there was 2 dresses in the parcel before they would refund me!! Have been reading reviews and apparently Hobbs make a habit of doing this on a regular basis. Never again will I order from them

Over £200 Spent, No Parcel Recieved.
It has been nearly a month and I still have not received my parcel. Contacting Hobbs was inconvenient - the 'contact us' from was broken, and a representative I spoke to via live chat disappeared half way through the conversation. Finally, they told me I would receive the parcel within the next 24 hours. No sign of it. I asked for a refund, but they said they are unable to process it until the parcel arrives. While I understand this is partially the courier's fault, I am disappointed with Hobbs. The staff from the customer service team I emailed with were all quite disinterested in the matter, and it did not feel like they were dealing with it rigorously.
So seems like I lost over £200..... Quite appalling for a brand like Hobbs, which is deemed reputable, and why I shopped with them in the first place. I will avoid them from now on.
Worse Customer Service Ever Encountered
As far as customer service goes, this company has got to be the worst I have had the misfortune to deal with.
Given the cost of the clothing from this company I would have expected a better service.
I lost button from a raincoat I bought from them, and wrote asking if they could sell me either a single button, or a new set of buttons, in which case I would replace them all. I supplied all the requested, necessary details, product code etc. After getting no reply for several weeks I contacted them again only to be told they had just heard back from the warehouse and they didn't have any spare buttons.
The ratio of supplying one button, to me never buying anything from Hobbs again doesn't work out in Hobbs favour. But then, given the majority of reviews I have read regarding Hobbs, it would seem they don't care anyway.

Deliberately Ship Faulty Goods.
Beware of faulty goods.
Shocking customer service. I ordered a pair of boots online. When they arrived, I discovered they had a scuff mark on the toe which had been painted over! Hobbs knowingly sold damaged goods.
Customer service told me I would have to return them via the post office during the lockdown. I could wait to return them to a store but, in the meantime, I would be £469 out of pocket for £200 boots as if I re-ordered a new (hopefully undamaged) pair as they would no longer on sale and I would have to wait until after lockdown for my refund.
I was offered a price match refund if I ordered new boots and them emailed Hobbs upon receiving the items, to chase them up.
So, in summary, I was sent damaged goods in purpose and yet I am out of pocket and significantly inconvenienced. It is lucky this is not an American or Asian company as they would be out of business for such appalling customer service. I will be sticking to other, more reliable retailers from now on.

I purchased a jacket £150 and just after one month wearing the button has fallen. I contacted the customer service to get one button spare. They confirmed that they have no button spare!! A big company like Hobbs can not provide a button to their customer?!!! The buttons are in front of jacket visibles so they must be identical...I am very disappointed that they do not care about customer service after sales!!

I made an order on-line to collect in store,than after few days I received an email stating that my item is ready to collect,went to the store and told me that there's been a mistake and the jacket hasn't arrived yet.Following day I received an email thanking me for returned item.Called customer services been treated fairy,ordered another jacket to come to home address.
ok well.....so jacket has arrived plus with a surprise tecso receipts in the pockets and some dirt.

Elizabeth Boots From Hobbs That Lasted For One Wearing
I have bought clothes in Hobbs over the years and shoes. Recently I spent £149 on a pair of lovely Elizabeth ankle boots, reduced from £199. Nice. However the very first time I wore them the heel was damaged terribly. The boots were not damaged all over. I had not abused them in any way. The leather was not attached properly to the plastic heelor it would not have torn so very easily but the Manager of the shop said that evidently they should not have worn outside but that they would get them repaired which I took to mean sending them to a specialist Hobbs repairer. Fine. However they were done in half an hour as they simply took the boots down to the shoe repair shop that does things while you wait, downstairs in Intu Bromley. Not surprisingly it was an imperfect job done at speed but that was it. Take it or leave it. Thought I was dealing with a nicer shop. No more.
Excellent Customer Care
I have been a regular on-line and in-store customer of Hobbs for several years. I have always found their clothing to be of high quality. I know I can order items with confidence; the sizes are always the same, the 'look' is that as illustrated on their web-site. There are size, length details, washing instructions, etc. - all the information you need before purchase.
My experience in ordering items to be delivered to my home in Europe is that items ordered on-line are delivered quickly and are always well-packed.
On one occasion after I had worn a blouse a couple of times, I noticed that a seam was coming apart. I contacted Customer care, they advised me to send it back and they delivered a replacement to me without any quibble very quickly.
Refunds following returns are made promptly. Customer Care staff have always been courteous and helpful.
I cannot recommend them highly enough and will continue to order from Hobbs.
