I Think The Panasonic Mc-e8003 Is A Very Good Clea

I think the Panasonic MC-E8003 is a very good cleaner. Its effective, has all the attachments you can need and is small enough to store in limited space. I have had none of the problems reported previously and I have used the machine in very dusty conditions. Incredibly reliable. I have had mine for 6 years and it still sucks like new. Only bad points are you need to empty the cleaner and clean the filters.

When I First Got It I Took It Apart A Few Times Tr

When I first got it I took it apart a few times trying to find out what was blocking it. Nothing but dust, it seems.

Panasonic make great TVs - but I wouldn't go near one of their vacuum cleaners again. I can't believe this got past their quality assurance process.

The handle on the dust collector looks like a place to pick up the cleaner - so you keep pulling out the dust collector instead of picking up the vacuum.

There are wheels on the suction end which leaev a gap between the floor and the sucker, so breaking the vacuum and leaving lots of fluff on the floor.

The dust collector is hard to get dust out of, so you end up with dust everywhere when emptying it!

As all the other reviewers have noted, the machine loses suction after cleaning a few rooms. You need to clean out the various filters every time you use the machine. If you don't - and no-one ever does it after having just used the machine - no suction at all. Which means that anytime you want to use the thing, you end up waiting a couple of hours for the filters to dry out.

You Need To Clean The Whole Machine After Each Use

You need to clean the whole machine after each use, and I don't know why it designs a 3.5 litre tank when you can only use it once before it doesn't suck any more. My grandmother's vacuum cleaner works much better and that's at least thirty years old!

The Panasonic Mc- E8003 Vacuum Cleaner Looks Good

The Panasonic MC- E8003 vacuum cleaner looks good and it is light and easy to carry. Unfortunately, you would get better suction from and asthmatic pensioner with a straw. It is the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever owned, and it is destined for the tip next week. I have just ordered a Henry on recommendation, so hope it is better.

I Paid Almost £100.00 For The Panasonic Mc-e

I paid almost £100.00 for the Panasonic MC-E8023 2000W model and am very disappointed with it. There is virtually no suction when using to clean carpets no matter how often I wash the filters. I am now having to buy another cleaner which will definitely not be Panasonic.

Just To Add To The Previous Comments. I Have Bough

Just to add to the previous comments. I have bought the Panasonic MC- 8023 which is the 2000W version of the one mentioned here but with the same design.

It is absolutely amazing..... for about 6 minutes. Then it's completely useless. Its not a slow progression, it goes from a Formula 1 wind tunnel machine in a baby sucking through a straw like someone's flicked a switch.

6 minutes it's seriously how long it lasts before having to be disassembled, and completely cleaned out. You need to wait for the filters to dry after you've washed them so it takes forever. I knew I should not have been so cheap and just bought that damn Dyson!!!

I agree with this review because... it's funny! (but devastatingly accurate)

I would completely agree with the previous comments on MC-E8023. I thought my vacuum was faulty but it seems to be just plain useless I intend taking it back to the supplier and upgrading to a different manufacturer. This product is in breach of the sale of goods act - not fit for the purpose it was sold for!

I Too Have The Panasonic Mc-e80003 Vacuum Cleaner,

I too have the Panasonic MC-E80003 vacuum cleaner, and I have had the same problem with the lack of suction. At first I thought "WOW this is good", but after 4 rooms it sucked like my old granny. I took it back to the shop and replaced it with a new one, only to find it happened again. Bad bad hoover. It has made an awful job into an almost tiresome one.

Panasonic Mc-e8003: Being One Of Her Least Favouri

Panasonic MC-E8003: Being one of her least favourite jobs, my wife occasionally delegates the vacuum cleaning to me. So, with some experience in hand, here's a man's review of that domestic utility, the vacuum cleaner.

We chose the Panasonic MC-E8003 partly because our previous cleaner had been a Panasonic and was very good, and partly because we thought a bagless system would be cheaper in the long run, as well as being environmentally friendlier.

This cleaner is physically compact, and at first seems very powerful. However, after vacuuming the carpets in 2 to 3 rooms the suction power diminishes to that of a tired newt. You might think that merely emptying the dust collector bin would rectify this - but no. To regain its original sucking power after emptying it, you have to dismantle the bin, remove its filters and then thoroughly wash all the parts under a tap. This requires copious quantities of water, so the environmental advantage of not using paper bags goes straight down the plug hole. It is also quite time consuming. One soon realises that the 'twin bin' feature is a gimmick as the cleaner gives up long before that's full.

The main floor cleaning tool provided is good and does an effective job at picking up our cat's fur. It also has a telescopic down pipe for height adjustment, which works well. The only other tools provided are a very short crevice tool and a brush which looks as if the manufacturers forgot to put all the bristles in.

On the top of the cleaner is a carrying handle which also doubles as the handle to lift the bin out. This is not a good design as I frequently find myself pulling the bin out when I really just want to lift the cleaner up.

Summing up, this vacuum cleaner is not a great success as the bagless system does not work well. I believe this model has been superseded by models MC-E8015 & MC-E8021.
