Hoseasons, Hendra Holiday Park

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Hendra and I have to say what an excellent resort this is and what a super holiday we all had. We have stayed in lots of caravan parks and holiday resorts throughout Cornwall and Somerset, but this was our first time at Hendra. We were met by helpful kind reception staff, entertained throughout the day and evening by exceptional entertainment staff, stayed in a wonderfully clean and cosy caravan, swam in a super fun indoor pool, used all the excellent clean and safe facilities on site and had an excellent family holiday. My children are aged 12, 8 and 5 so its difficult to find activities they all enjoy but Hendra did it! The skate park was great fun, daytime activities enjoyable and varied and evening entertainment was fantastic with great shows for both adults and children. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you Hendra for an outstanding holiday.

I have been to a few camp sites in newquay over a couple of years but hendra has got to be by far the best one. The toilets and showers are very clean as for all the other facilities on the site. The two pool indoor and outdoor are amazing for the whole family. The pitches are a great size, all the staff are friendly and great with every age I will certainly be come back next year but for long then just two nights.

CAME TO HENDRA IN JULY 09, THE SITE WAS CLEAN AND TIDY AND A GOOD BASE FOR EXPLORING NEWQUAY ETC,,ALL BE IT AN EXSPENSIVE ONE!

THE POOL AREA IS QUITE GOOD BUT TO GO IN THE DECENT INSIDE POOLS WITH THE SLIDES ETC YOU HAVE TO PAY ENTRY! AND IF YOUVE GOT 3 KIDS PROVES EXPENSIVE OVER THE WEEK.

ALSO THE ENTERTAINMENT AREA WAS VERY SMALL AND CRAMMED,TOO SMALL FOR SITE YOU HAVE TO BE IN THERE FOR NO LATER THAN 7 IF YOU WANT A SEAT AND ARCADE AREA FOR KIDS PRETTY SMALL AS WELL, MY GRIPE IS MORE COST THAN ANYTHING ELSE,THERE IS FAR BETTER COMMERCIAL SITES OUT THERE WE HAVE BEEN TO MANY, WILL BE GOING BACK TO THE DORSET COAST IN 2010, IS FAR BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have just returned from a 3 day break to Hendra in Newquay booked through our local paper. We were unsure what to expect as it was such a cheap deal. We were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in their 2 bedroom budget caravan which was well equiped, clean and was in a great situation. I would recommend though if you have small children to take a fan heater with you as it can get quite cold in the evening and early morning, our caravan only had a fire in the living room which we could not put on in case our 15 month old touched it so our heater came in handy. The site itself was great, lots to keep the children entertained. Staff friendly. The Oasis fun pool is a must to visit. Would recommend and plan to go back again next year. 9/10

Just returned from Hendra Holiday Park. Booked direct with the park, do check their website, they offer various booking discounts thru out the year. |This park is definitely worth the visit. For a start its immaculate..very important when you think of how much you pay to go on holiday. Beautiful surrounding, outdoor pools very clean and well maintained. Indoor sun centre, brilliant. Yes you do pay extra for this, but only £2.60 per person, with an option when booking to prebook tickets with a discount. We have stayed a couple of times,in different accom, all very clean. I would definitely recommend this site to families,well worth the money,cannot fault it. Handy for visiting all the beaches in Newquay and surrounding areas,only 45 minutes from St Ives. For bodyboarding try Fistral and Watergate beaches..entertainments are also good, although we did not go every nite, the onsite shop is ok, but there is a Lidl and Morrisons down the road.

Hendra Holiday Park provided an amazing holiday and I would recommend to anyone. I'll start with the negatives as there isn't many:

Negatives:

.The pizza bar was slow

.The fish and chip takeaway was quite slow and the chips were overpriced for what they were. Also the people serving there didn't speak very good english and had trouble understanding us.

.The nightclub got very full and although we turned up early most nights, we never got a seat

.I would have liked to have seen a picture of the caravan before we bought, but the caravan was perfect anyway so it didn't really matter.

.It was quite annoying that many of the things me and my family wanted to do happened in the middle of the day when we would be out sightseeing.

Positives:

.The pools are great, the slides in the indoor pool are amazing and the outdoor pool is refreshing and fun on a hot day.

.The tavern serves a range of very tasty meals all day. I particularly recommend the breakfasts!

.There is a wide range of things to do for all ages- a hippo train, a playpark, table tennis, kids clubs, bowling, arcades, club etc.

. The shop has absolutely everything in it, and provides freshly baked bread

.The staff are friendly and helpful

.The shower in our caravan was amazing: powerful, hot and spacious!

.The caravan was very clean when we arrived

.It is situated in the perfect place to sightsee: near beaches, eden project, theme parks, zoo etc.

.They provide a variety of discounts for activities for example tennis or surfing lessons.

.The welcome pack is very useful and comes with a map of the park, a menu, a timetable of activities etc.

Overall this was one of the best holidays I've ever had and Hendra has something for everyone.

Second visit to Hoseseasons Hendra Holiday Park and had a superb week over Easter with sister and family. Weather fantastic, caravan was excellent with central heating and double glazing a huge bonus, had everything. Can't fault anything on the park, staff really friendly and helpful, facilities we used all excellent and those we did not use looked great. Although park was obviously busy we where suprised how peaceful it was. Family loved it and we definetly recommend Hendra to everyone, great location for visiting everyhting, we went to Eden, Kingsley Village, great local restaurant by the boating lake. On-site shuttle bus into town is great, good local pub too, and whilst the on-site shop is good, Morrisons is only down the road!

Have been going on caravan holidays for at least 15 years to many different parks. This is the FIRST time I have been told that in order to park next to the caravan we would need an expensive upgrade - we had to carry a LOT of luggage / bedding etc about 100 yards to the middle of a row of caravans on WET grass with no path of any kind. Feet were soaked, and I was livid. If they must do this, Hendra Holiday Park should have the decency to lay a path.

Secondly the pool works out as quite an expensive extra at £2.60 per person, admittedly it was a good pool but it certainly adds to the cost of a "cheap" holiday.

We love it here at the Hendra Holiday Park. So clean, lots of entertainment. Pool is great. A must place to visit and stay. 10/10.
