These people are good when you want money fast and in your hand, but when your as quick to pay them back early to reduce cost and interest to yourself, they lose interest in you as a customer!! 3 loans I have had and paid back each one early, last one I applied for was rejected by my agent because PROVIDENT don't work like that. They pray on people not being able to pay back on full after a few weeks. I was advised to appeal to head office in writing by the local branch manager who's number I got off the head office as he couldn't discuss my application for data protection and my appeal was rejected simply with a letter saying we do not overturn the decisions of the local branch manager!!! What?? My advice... If you want a loan and your happy to pay interest over the long term and you don't want to deal with the staff, go for it.

I applied over the internet for a £200 cash loan. I was called within the day and an agent arranged to call with the paperwork the next day. He never explained the interest rates and expected me to sign without first telling me the weekly repayments! I had the impression that he expected me to know these already. however, he did turn up the next day with £150 cash (not the £200 I had been expecting) and has always been friendly and polite when collecting payments. As a single parent with bad credit, I was just grateful to find this company.
