i purchased a new fridge freezer it was delivered, there service was excellent the unpacked removed the old FF and put the new one i'm sure they aren't expected to do so much but they were over and above just helpful. it was the best delivery service I have ever received

“Breks down every time you unplug the fridge Freezer”

When turned of for any reason the fridge freezer packs up I am scared to turn the fridge freezer off as it costs me over a 170 pouds per time for new printed circuit boards I dread going on holiday in case we have a power blip and all the food goes off Not looking forward to winter and the possibility bof power cuts Samsung should renew this free of charge This fridge freezer used to work great and i was proud of it but not any more need to get a new one but i have retired now and can not afford the cost of a new one

owned the samsung rs21 for just over 2years, started making noises and temp on digital display reading wrong. This unit is not fit for its supposed use, I have never known fridge freezers to fail after such a short time. My mother in law has had her fridge freezer unit well over 10 years and its still going strong. The fact is samsung accepts there is a manufacturers fault and have agreed to send out an engineer to replace the supposedly faulty part. In my case the fridge worked overnight after the installation was done late in the afternoon, by next morning the unit was exactly the same as before. Several phone calls to samsung and finally they sent another engineer out who did not know what the problem was. Today I still do not have the unit working and currently in communication with Trading standards. I intend not resting until this matter is sorted, and I urge others who have faced the same dilema to act now

The Samsung RS21WCNS 20.1cu ft American Style Fridge fridge rarely reaches the temperature set but is continually iced up in the lower part of the fridge. It was looked at by a service"ENGINEER!"which we had to wait 15 days for,who said that there was nothing wrong with it other than it required defrosting although the thing is supposed to be frost free.
We continually lose the contents of the freezer because it stops freezing for 8 hours + and then starts up again on its own.
I`m in the process of obtaining a separate chest freezer and larder fridge and get rid of this heap of junk as soon as possible

i purchased a samsung side by side unit RSA1WTMH, a year ago. since then we have had nothing but problems, after the first few months the freezer side iced up then defrosted and the fridge side decided to freeze fruit and veg., they said it needed defrosting but the unit is frost free, samsung engineer got it working which lasted a few more months and now at xmas it is defrosting again, what a pile of Junk, samsung should stick to what they are good at , making tv's

my fridge stopped completely. repair centre couldn't come for over a week as they needed to get the part in. then i had to switch whole unit off and find freezer space else where alot of inconvience, food wasted not enough friends with space. has been fixed approx 2 weeks and fan is making loud noise again have spent more money on food to fill freezer back up again and will now have to waste it again when emptying it again. all in all Samsung RS21WCNS has cost me well over £100 in food. not pleased at all.

My Samsung American Style Fridge is just over a year old, very loud noises, now most of the fridge is no longer cold! read in another review that this is a design fault. who wants a fridge that isn,t cold????

I was informed by Samsung when I rang to query the noise of the fan on my Samsung RS21WCNS that the fault had been broadcast on Watchdog.
They called out the following day to my call to the repair centre and replaced the complete unit.
On top of that Samsung have extended the guarantee to the whole fan unit for 5 years.
All in all excellent service and 5 years protection on fan, absolutely no quibble at all.
Well done Samsung, tops for customer service.

Probably just after two years of ownership (when the warranty has just run out) it will develop a fault. The fridge part will start to make some noise which will increase, what is happening is a major build up of ice in the fan compartment and the fan hits the ice causing the noise. Eventualy the noise will stop - the ice has won completely stopping the fan. Then the temperature will rise in the fridge. Ther are some very expensive repairs for this problem but I have yet to read of anyone who has fixed it competely, the problems usually return.
This is a very common fault with the samsung I have one and this happened to me there are at least 6 forums on the internet full of people with the same fault.

I have had the same series RS21 Side by Side Refrigerator and have had exactly the same experience. After just over two years I was faced with a bill for £300 to repair. Samsung customer care are unhelpful, any product is only as good as the support you get from the manufacturer, particularly when there is a design fault. Keep clear of these unreliable appliances.

I have had exactly the same problem. Model RS21NCSW bought in Bangalore India in Aug 2005. June 2007, we started hearing loud noises, called a technician, there was ice build up. Repeat that ad naseum. Unresolved, unhelpful technician (I believe they don't know how to fix it and Samsung apparently isn't helping them).

The Samsung RS21WCNS 20.1cu ft American Style Fridge has been a great purchase. I have always wanted an American size fridge/freezer so after getting our kitchen extended I went looking for one. I've done a lot of research going to local shops and getting them to demostrate, this time this model was in Curry's for £985.00 +£35.00 delivery, went home and got on to the net found the same model at on the internet for a total price of £749.99 (even cheaper now). It has a water dispenser & my 2 children are always drinking water, which is great. I was going to get one with ice maker but you have to have plumbing and it can get blocked.

I bought one for the same reasons. Although I love it after 18 months it did frost up and started to make strange noises. It took many calls to find the correct phone mumber to get service but when I eventually did the service was excellent. A major part was replaced. The following year the noises started again. This time the cause was a build up of dust in the back and the back panel had to be vacuumed professionally. All this took place under warranty. The engineer advised my to take out insurance and said that out of warranty repairs could be expensive. I still love the fridge freezer but am a little disappointed at making two call outs in two years.
