Ordered a toothbrush, paid via PayPal and my order was immediately cancelled because I ‘failed our internal validation checks’ - I now have to wait up to 30 days for PayPal to refund my money! From what I can gather this seems to be a recurring problem for many people. I’m a long-standing customer with an excellent credit rating, so there is absolutely no reason why my order should not have been processed. Will NEVER use BOOTS again! Ordered and paid online for a Dyson Airwrap that was showing as in stock. The order went through and the money was deducted from my bank balance immediately. “Shambling”

Over the last couple of years many of my online orders have been cancelled, with no explanation or apology and if you try to get an explanation from them on the phone they won't tell you what specifically was wrong and just refer to "technical" issues. I've tried phoning them to complain but they just bounce you around until you get bored and hang up. Just finished a 20 minute session on that process. Update - actually I was wrong. If you keep trying you just get more frustrated by the fact that their online system does not work. Have made a complaint but this goes nowhere at all...…………….

“Orders cancelled without explanation ”

I have recently tried to order multiple items from Boots, some as gifts for friends and family, some as stocking up during a good offer. I do not and never have sold the products on. Mysteriously many orders got cancelled, no explanation. Twice I emailed to ask why, no answer. I ordered supplements over the phone (as the online site was "having difficulties") and my credit card was debited and I was given an order number. 2 hours later I received an email saying the order was cancelled and Boots would not provide a reason. Boots has to be the only online service that does not cancel or change orders. I asked if I could change the delivery date forward. They told me they could not physically make any changes or cancel the order.... even though the dispatch date was two weeks away.
