In the store the salesman tried to tell us the model of freezer we wanted wasn't available, when I could see it quite clearly on his screen! He was obviously trying to upsell to us, as the model we wanted was at a really good price. Eventually we managed to purchase the right freezer. We paid an additional £19.99 for a known delivery slot. The driver rang & said he would be there in 15-30 minutes. 40 minutes later I rang & was told it would be another 20 minutes. “exorbitant service charges.”

I purchased a Logik Washing Machine from Curry's just 13 months ago. OK it is the cheaper end of washers under £200 but still a small profit into Curry's pocket. Unfortunately I have had a issue 1 month out of the years guarantee. I went in this morning to buy a laptop. I knew more or less what I wanted but I still needed some help. the guy who attended me was ok, helpful and pleasant enough but didn't offer me that much choice. “Brand new Oven not working and poor customer service”

I bought a new oven in the shop and carried it home. My dad installed but it was faulty. After 50 minutes on the phone to various customer service numbers we were told we had to bring it back to the shop to get a new one or get the money back. They wouldn't come to change it otherwise. Unbelievable. They say that employees are really ambassadors of the organisation that they work for. I have just recently purchased a washing machine from curry's and the confirmation would be it would be delivered at some point today (Monday). “Currys Hotpoint Fridge Freezer ”

“Beware! Incorrect Information on their Web Site”

While browsing the Net for kitchen appliances I discovered two big discrepancies on Currys' web site. I almost ordered the AEG X59143MD0 Cooker Hood as it was advertised as an 'island' hood - one that hangs from the ceiling rather than fitted to the wall. Hi...here`s the update from the posting yesterday.

I have to say that I have rarely experienced such a simple exchange process...all was dealt with in a very efficient and pleasant manner.
I am really surprised at this but I am an old cynic when it comes to modern business practices...I am using the replacement netbook to write this update...it also has a one years warranty from todays date...all in all,todays visit to the store has restored my waning faith in the high street... and my expectation of "difficulties" did not even begin to materialise.

I have to report that I have experienced super service from the store staff....yes,they were only fulfilling their legal obligation but the manner in which the issue was dealt with deserves this rather long praise.

Many thanks to the staff at Curry`s !

“Delivery disgusting”

We had a cooker delivered before christmas and the delivery man was so rude about having steps up to front of property (even though they had been warned and it was on delivery instructions).. Now today we had new washing machine delivered and the instruction was to take away old machine.
