I purchased a Tv from Currys and within a year it developed a fault. Looked like pixelation on the screen but informed currys of this. They said send into their warehouse and they will check it over and see if its covered by the CARE REPAIR PLAN (DONT WASTE YOUR TIME) They said it looks like accidental damage. If that was the case i would of gone through the house insurance. The team showed photos of it still working and showing pixelation on the screen. They returned it to me and it had clearly been dropped and smashed. No longer turns on and CURRYS quote said I HAVE TO ALLOW FOR MORE DAMAGE IN TRANSIT. What an absolute JOKE that is. To Even get any response from them i had to message the chief executive of CURRYS to start any form of an answer. Well no, You return the item in the condition it was received. The original issue was in the middle of the screen and the new issue is you have dropped it on the corner and smashed the tv. Took the CDRL route - AGAIN WASTE OF TIME AS THEY ALWAYS RULE IN FAVOUR OF THE BIG COMPANYS. ALL IN ALL DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CURRYS AS THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME. THEY BREAK YOUR PROPERTY AND FIND ANY EXCUSES TO NOT PAY OUT UNDER THE CARE REPAIR PLAN. HIGH COURT ROUTE IS THE NEXT OPTION

Blatantly shammed due to tampering of my phone, some irrelevant powerbank was delivered, sended everything back, they did their “investigation” without giving me any information. Later decided that I’ve got everything and think the case is closed. It’s blatant sham, and this goes straight to ombudsman. Don’t buy from this place, their service is below worse. I would rate 0 if I could, absolute horrible shop

I wish I could give them 0 that they truly deserve. I had bought JVG from them and screen started to flicker within 3 years. Sent it to Currys and they confirmed that it was manufactuer fault. Since it was out of warranty, ball was in their court. They offered me depreciated value as refund that is only Peanuts. I am total aghast and shocked as TVs don't last for only 3 years. Despite of them confirming that it is a manufactuer fault, they decided to put the onus on me. They asked me to contact arbitration if I was not happy with their offer. They know that they are a big company and we are just an individual, therefore they can treat you the way they like. Shame on you as you only care about your profit rather than simple individual who buy things from you in good faith. If there is manufactuer fault, you should take onus rather than penalizing poor customers. Shame on you. Totally disgusted. Stay sway from them

I arranged for a TV to be picked up for repair after it developed a fault I took a day off work and waited in all day. At 1730 the tracking updated to say cancelled. I recieved no phone call or communication. After contacting customer service I was told it was cancelled due to traffic Absolutely disgusting service and communication they now state the TV will be collected friday. No idea whether they will bother this time and I cannot get my days annual leave back either. Another reminder to use a more professional company to buy your TVs

Long story short(ish) . Attempted to order product in store , out of stock so had to order online. BEKO gas cooker purchased and delivered. Local company used to install, oven not working. Very nice local installer helped my 71 year old mum by trying to sort this out, outcome was that she would receive a call before the end of the day. Did she get a call? Of course not. I followed up following day. The offer was , exchange but mum would have to pay for the new one to be installed or repair. Not happy to pay for installation twice so asked about repair. Repair would only be confirmed if agreement to disclaimer to pay £55 if not found to be a manufacturer fault. No happy with that, it’s BRAND NEW!!! Stale mate then. Can’t complain, no email address to send to although they will happily log it!! NO! I want to say how it is in my words, not yours. Couldn’t get any names of supervisors or any help at all, they simply don’t care , they have your money so why bother. I cannot emphasise enough how this has impacted on my mum and myself. I would never , ever, shop with this company again and I would suggest you don’t either. Curry’s, total shame on you!

Absolutely a shambolic mess of a company! I ordered a couple of products online { a tv and ps5 deal } on the 27th of December, the address that was on my account was my old address as I have recently moved but as soon as I realised it was incorrect { about half an hour later } I called back to change the address but I was told I would have to cancel the order and reorder when I get the money back, I agreed, however, I was told I had to call back at a later time that day, called back and cancelled the order, all good I thought but I never got a conformation email so the day after, I called back only to be told that part of the order was cancelled so I then asked again I need the whole order cancelled, all good I thought only to get an email from dpd saying they have received my order from currys and it's been ongoing since then. I was told I would get a full refund then a partial refund and the rest would get given back to me when they receive the item back that THEY sent out even though I have told them since day 1 I was cancelling the whole order. The refund was rejected TWICE because again they messed up and tried to refund me on the wrong account! I was assured it was sorted and I will get my partial refund today, still no refund! This has been ongoing for 3 weeks tomorrow! I have put 2 complaints in and the complaints department haven't even got in contact, they keep sending me emails to say they are looking into my case! This is causing me a great deal of stress to the point of crying. I am at limbo here, nothing is getting done, I'm banging my head against a brick wall. The handlers won't even pass me onto the correct department or give me any contact details for the relevant team.

When i went to currys they didnt let me exchange my hoover as i thought the hoover was not good . Im not happy with my purchase amd i thought i could exchange but they rudly said no .we only had this hoover for less than two weeks . I am a frequent customer so its upsetting that they treated me so harshly. Also when i was there i was insulted and ridiculed by the same currys employer , he was being aggressive and accusing men of spittiing on him and we never did that . This man has ruined my day , he embarrassed me infront of everyone.

Despicable service! Cooker broke - in October (we are now in December). They sent another with fitters to install who decided to play electrician and state it couldn’t be connected with the fuse I have - despite it was a like-for-like, replacing a cooker that has been there for two years! I raise this in store (Nottingham), who send out two different engineers who say the last two didn’t know what they were talking about and the electric circuit is perfectly fine (one was an electrician). They unbox the cooker left by the last two engineers to find it damaged, so couldn’t fit it. They raised yet another delivery (a third cooker and I still have the broken one AND the damaged one in my house). No one bothers to turn up on that delivery. I go into the store and they state it was cancelled by the fitters as they had told me to re order the cooker myself and as I hadn’t, they cancelled fitting! Which was not true! I spent two hours in store whilst this ongoing issue - which is now 2 months ongoing - was dealt with. They inform me the cooker is now out of stock (probably because they are all in my house!) and it’s highly unlikely it will be in stock or be fitted before Christmas. So not only will it be three months by the time I get the cooker, I am without one for Christmas. So no Christmas dinner for my family! I ask to speak to the manager as the front of store staff are running back and forth to speak to him. He says he will be 2 minutes. I ask again and again and again when he doesn’t come. Staff keep going to get him. After half an hour they call him to see if he is coming to speak to me and he says he has gone home!! I leave the store after 2 hours with no real resolution - just wait to see! Oh - and an apology which I am sure covers the hundreds of pounds I’ve spent on takeaways, meals out and the lack of a Christmas dinner! They offered me another cooker which was £50 more than the one i have but was a different colour and one I didn’t like. Today I received a call from a store manager who wasn’t at work when I had gone in the day before. He had picked up an email from the staff regarding my issue. He told me there is nothing they can do and said that I was offered another cooker which I declined! I highlighted that no one was GIVING me anything for free, this was not a charitable donation. I had PAID for the original cooker and was made to feel that if I didn’t accept any old cooker they were offering, then I’ve had my chance, so tough luck! Again I repeated the cooker they offered wasn’t the same colour and I shouldn’t just have to make do with something - that cost over £400. Again he said ‘well that’s it’. I asked his name and he gave me his name- I asked for his last name and he refused to give it! The customer service in store (by front of house team) was brilliant and they were very apologetic and didn’t try to defend Curry’s and noted that I have not had a satisfactory service. However, one manager refused to speak to me and the other spoke to me with utter disrespect and made me feel like I’m in the wrong! I have emailed the CEO (who gives his last name, even though he won’t)! I have called to lodge a complaint as calls are recorded. Please avoid Curry’s at all costs! Managers done give a damn and customer care is out of the window. Meanwhile I will enjoy my apology and tough luck for Christmas dinner! Just look at reviews on various sites - mainly 1 star!

Customer service in south Africa. Absolutely disgraceful unknowledgeable, incompetent. Tell that to your customer service. An absolute joke

No accountability. Bought a washing machine on the 20th November. Paid for delivery and installation. The delivery guys have broken the water valve (had to get a plumber in to repair this -108£) Then once plumber came in and fixed it I put the washing machine on. It was leaking. I then discovered that the draining hose was cut (most likely by delivery guy who must have used a Stanley knife to unpack the washing machine). Called the customer service (good luck to get hold of them first) They said an engineer would come in and this was for the 4th of December. But because I'm working I moved it to the 9th. 3.00pm on the 9th still haven't heard of the engineer. Call again customer service only to be told "this has been cancelled. They tried to call you but you didn't pick up." No one tried to call me. Been stuck at home waiting for them to come and repair for nothing... They have my email + phone number. No contact have been made. They are only good to say "I'm sorry I apologise for the inconvenience this is causing" I spend 400£ on a washing machine I cannot use and 108£ on a plumber which they should repay for but I'm still to hear about this of course. Avoid Currys at all cost.

Absolutely shocking company, ordered fridge feezer and washing machine to be delivered and fitted, recieved text message night before with time slot, day of delivery, total no show and had actually booked me in for another date 2 weeks in the future! Called customer service to be told that the depot handler said there wasnt a driver and they could not make it, i didnt recieve any phone call to explain the situation and he actually lied saying they had left me a voice not, THIS NEVER HAPPENED. I asked to cancel the order and they refused. I had to contact my bank to refund me the money.

Online order. Microwave arrived broken. Returned. Three weeks later still battling to get a refund. I don’t believe Curry’s has any intention of refunding me.

Absolutely shocking experience Absolutely shocking experience, will never purchase from currys again. Purchased a lap top, didn’t get opportunity to set it up until outside 30 day return policy (due to circumstances), only to find product was faulty and not working properly, when trying to set up (held my hands up to the fact I should have checked it sooner, but time/ circumstance did not allow). Not useable as running so slow and not to its specification. Literally that slow laptop unusable and also will not allow to be taken out of smode (page just freezes/spinning). Contacted currys to explain the situation, to only be offered a ‘repair’ on a product they supplied to me in faulty condition. Was not happy with a repair as have not used the product and was supplied faulty. Have lost faith in the product altogether. Thought it was fair to request that I return the product for a credit (not refund), so that I can purchase an alternative laptop and currys still secure the sale. Still only offered a repair! Can understand a repair if I had used the product and it developed a fault, but it was new, had not been out the box and had been supplied faulty! If I was satisfied with a repaired product, I would have purchased a refurbished laptop for a fraction of the price, rather than buy new! Contacted curry’s to request a call with a manager on two occasions, no managers available as in briefing meetings apparently. Twice I was promised a call back, once within 72 hours and once within the same day. Still awaiting these call backs two- three weeks later! Everyone I have spoken with sounds like they are half asleep and don’t appear in the slightest bit bothered in resolving the situation (I expect the customer service staff are fed up with being inundated with calls like mine, if people are complaining about similar experiences). I called Curry’s again today and finally got to speak to a manager, who again insisted a repair is the only option, as I am outside the 30 day refund policy in the terms and conditions. Nobody is taking on board that the product hasn’t been used and was supplied in faulty condition. Have now lost faith in Currys customer service also. I’m pretty sure given Currys have not called me back as promised on two occasions and I have now waited two-three weeks, that they are now also outside of their terms and conditions. Still not willing to resolve my issue and weeks later my son still without a working laptop purchased for his birthday (for use with school work). Requested a letter of deadlock confirming that Currysnot willing to offer credit or refund for a product supplied in faulty condition, which hasn’t worked properly from taking it out of the box. Also requested an explanation/reason as to why a manager has not called me back as promised on two occasions. Apparently there is now also an issue with providing the letter/email, as they are struggling to find a department who can supply this. Most definitely going to take the matter further. Disgraceful experience, really poor customer service.

I hav made a click and collect order last November 6, 2023. I received an email confirming my order on the same day and another on the following day that my order is being processed and would be ready for collection soon with the expected delivery date to be on November 8, 2023. Until now, I have not received any email that it is ready for collection and it has been more than a week. I contacted customer support several times and they said that my order is out of stock but how can it be possible for me to order it online if it is. Customer service said that they will investigate and it will take 7-14 working days. I don’t really care for your investigation. I would just like to get my order. If anyone is thinking about ordering from Currys, think again.

What a joke this company is. Don’t buy anything from them you are better off using Argos,Amazon or any other shop. Nothing is worse then their customer service. They are lying, breaching GDPR by giving you personal numbers. Manager never call you back. They cancel your order without permission and don’t give you money back. Also after sharing my story with my friends, I have found out that they had a similar experience in the past. One of them where waiting 2months for a replacement of a brand new fridge that was faulty when delivered.

Appalling company. Took money for product, late delivering, when arrived product faulty, arranged refund however they will not release money as they don’t have staff to collect product. Worse customer service I have ever come across. 5 calls, three hours on phone and still no further along. Promises to call back by manager broken. Avoid at all costs

I wish I could give Currys a lower rating than one star because they've truly earned it. My recent encounter with this company has been nothing short of a customer service horror story. If you're looking for a company that values your time, respects your requests, and employs qualified professionals, look elsewhere – because you won't find it here. First of all, we had informed the store multiple times that we needed a qualified electrician to install an integral washing machine. Despite our efforts to make this clear, the individual they sent on the initial delivery date (16/10/2023) was far from qualified to handle the job. He had no idea what he was doing and made promises he couldn't keep. He told us that we would have the installation completed by the next day, but that turned out to be wrong. Instead, we received a text later in the evening saying that the delivery was rescheduled for Wednesday between 08:00 and 14:00. We adjusted our plans, rearranged our schedules, and waited patiently, only to be met with empty promises yet again. Wednesday came and went, and there was no sign of Currys or their elusive "qualified professionals." Fed up, I decided to call customer service, hoping for some clarity and resolution. To my dismay, I was met with unhelpful, robotic responses from representatives who seemed more interested in reading from their scripts than genuinely assisting a customer in need. To add insult to injury, they informed me that there was no one available to perform the installation and, you guessed it, rescheduled it again. The final straw was the text message that arrived in the evening, proclaiming, "Great news! Your delivery will be with you on the 27th." I had already informed them of our unavailability during certain dates, but they clearly couldn't care less about their customers' needs. In conclusion, if you want to save yourself from unnecessary stress, frustration, and wasted time, I strongly recommend avoiding Currys at all costs. Their incompetence, poor communication, and disregard for their customers' schedules are astounding. My experience with them has been an absolute nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Shop elsewhere and spare yourself this ordeal.

Recently took out a new phone contract (samsung s23 ultra) with the new deal on the website the phone was meant to come with a free gift of galaxy earbuds. The phone arrived when expected but the package was missing the earbuds, I called in relation to this and a very appologetic advisor said she can see they were meant to be added and will arrange for someone to call to arrange delivery of them. A week passes and I hear nothing so call again, this time a male advisor says the same thing and appologised again. Another week passes and i hear nothing so call again, this time to also complain that noone has bothered to call me, I then get told actually head office have looked into it and even though 2 previous advisors said they could see they were with my order and i should have been sent them and were in my basket when i paid, that in fact I'm not entitled to them and they wont be being sent. I asked to speak to a manager, none where available so he said that he would get a manager to call me. Low and behold another week passes and nothing, but which time im outside of the cooling off period for the phone and contract and down on earbuds (£219) so i call again, only to be told no manager available again but get to speak to a supervisor, who was appologetic (rightly) and offered the first month of the contract refunded (£43) not quite the earbuds I was entitled to, and now locked in a contract because they dont get back to customers or fullfil their deals. Absolute joke

This is the first time that I've ever posted a 1* review online. We bought a gas hob from Currys which, after it was installed, turned out to be leaking gas and dangerous. We had to have the hob isolated until Currys could replace it. Currys then charged us for the second installation. I have tried repeatedly to get help from Customer Service but they simply break promises and do not get in touch with me. This has gone on for a month. Please think twice before buying anything from this company.
