“Absolutely horrendous ”

Would rate it as 0 but do not have option! Absolutely disgraceful company. Ordered a cooker for OAP parents, where told it would take a month of being without cooker, we dealt with it,then a day before delivery we are contacted to say a further week delay! When rang the help centre lady confirmed they had lied and it was in stock! Delivery came and they sent incorrect goods!! From start to finish it was a total mess, had to go back into store for refund as we chose to go somewhere else. Don't see the use of the cost centre if you have to deal with the store directly. In-store the people who were dealing with my refund dealt with a couple of other customers while doing my refund, no customer service at all.

“worst delivery and customer service experience”

I've contacted Currys over 10 times now, called them, used live chat and went to the store. Everyone is pushing responsibility to others and noone is even trying to help. Staff is absolutely rude and ignoring complaints raised 3 times. We've booked the delivery and paid for it, they haven't delivered even when we've spoken on the phone with them and said we are waiting for the delivery. On top of that, they were about to miss our delivery the second time. I was promised a partial refund because of all these issues but being lied to as they did not issue anything or added any notes or tried to contact me again. ABSOLUTELY 0 CUSTOMER SERVICE OR APPRECIATION FOR THE CUSTOMERS AND I PROMISE I will NEVER BUY from this place again. Disguisting!!!!!

“Bought an oven”

Bought an oven,the man in the shop said it was LPG conversion,that comes with the oven,it didn't come with it,went to Currys the man lied,they don't come with and Currys don't sell them,they sent us to B&Q where they said they have never sold them as they are different for every make,so we have an oven we can't use until the kit we had to pay£20 for arrives and a gas engineer fits it,costing more money????????????

“pinching prices”

do not purchase anything from this company there prices are all over the place. bought a pc for 259 and just a few weeks later had dropped by almost 100 pounds to say i was upset would be a understatement. complained to currys but still waiting for answer. first and last time i purchase anything from this terrible company .AVOID.

“Mutually agreed refund not being paid.”

I purchased a laptop in January, 23 and when McAfee somehow managed to take my annual fee from my account despite my having cancelled the auto renew. So I contacted Currys within the required timescale to send back the McAfee part of my order. I explained I no longer required McAfee software as it would be duplicated. They agreed, asked for the unopened software to be returned and arranged a collection. This was complied with and I had it collected on 28th March. I have the receipt from the courier. Despite several contacts, ALL from ME, despite promises of compliance in, "24 to 48 hours", now over a week ago, I have nothing, no software, no money after 31 days. This return was MUTUALLY AGREED. Currys have my £79.99 and can't even contact me. Unbelievable rudeness. This goes far beyond the period where had I received the refund, Currys would have preserved my STATUTORY RIGHTS to return my refund in 14 days. It will cost me nothing to take them to the Small Claims Court and all costs will be accumulated by Currys. So pay up now and save yourself a packet.p.s. I've won in the SCC before with someone else.

“Item delivered smashed ”

Delivery experience shocking item was delivered smashed an appliance left even though advised the drivers that it was completely damaged yet you took old appliance away . Had to clear up your mess of broken glass . Your customer service automated options are useless had to take the item back to store . Avoid avoid these people . They sub their deliveries out to 3rd party companies who really don’t care as they don’t work for curry’s . Didn’t offer to give old appliance back and never collected the damaged item just drove off and told to ring customer services for a replacement .

“Disgusting”

Disgustingly poor experience. Ordered a washing machine in advance of my newborn arriving and told 10-21 days for delivery. Called them after 21 days and they can't find the order despite having an order number and email confirmation. Escalated, complained and 5 calls later no response or call back. They even suggested on one call to cancel the order and reorder at the current higher price!? I've checked and it's in stock ready for delivery this week but at £150 more than when I ordered it. We have a 2 week old baby with no washing machine!? They can't honour the original deals so are cancelling orders left right and centre. Just check @currys on twitter - tonnes of complaints. They are taking orders at lower prices and then cancelling them. This is sham. I order things from Currys on behalf of clients and we have spent £1000s with them. All orders have been cancelled and we're taking business elsewhere.

“BEWARE OF CURRYS, their customer service is...”

BEWARE OF CURRYS, their customer service is diabolical, they have no decency. John Lewis customer services is so much better, you can get through, they are always willing to help, go out of their way to value their customers. CURRYS ON THE OTHER HAND DO NOT CARE. With a delivery a sneaky photo was taken by the driver (DPD), and because a hand was on the box, they state it is delivered. This is a pension, 82 years old with 2 knee replacements. They had no clue what was happening, did not accept the TV. It has taken months going through the long drawn out process, hand writing and posting the dispute, getting all the evidence together. The driver had no cameras, there should be security. Customers should be protected. Currys have seen the photo and still say it was delivered. A criminal is working at DPD now, the stress and anxiety losing all that money for a TV. How on earth can Currys state that the TV was accepted by a pensioner? The sneaky photo is of a pensioner's slippers. I am disgusted. Awful experience, Currys do not care. Shop at John Lewis, protect yourselves.

“lG fridge freezer”

Wow, what an amazing Fridge freezer this is. The fridge and freezer parts are really big and easy to see what you have in it. The fresh food compartment keeps food so fresh for so much longer than my old fridge did. I use to throw lots away. This keeps fruit and vegetables fresh for so much longer. The doors have soo much space in them and so easy to see what I have in them. The water and ice dispenser is fantastic and the fact that it dosent need plumbing in is a bonus as I did not have a place to put it if it needed plumbing. The quick cooling and freezing function is very useful. Through the LG application, you can set the temperature and even adjust the light intensity in the refrigerator. I'm a huge fan of the design and I think it will complement any modern kitchen. It also allows remote monitoring/control with an app. This is very easy to setup and use. The app also warns you if the fridge has been accidentally left open, which is certainly handy to prevent wastage. I've never been more impressed with a kitchen fridge/freezer in all honesty. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is seeking a combined fridge freezer for their kitchen. I would certainly recommend and all ready have done so. Love the fact that you can set the interior light to dim in the evenings done through the app. No more being dazzled in the evening when getting something out of the fridge or freezer. Another thing to add is it's super quiet - not like any fridges I've had in the past where you can hear the constant buzzing sound from the coolant pump - there's no noise from this - except for the ice dispenser when it's ready with ice, it drops the ice into the container and then refills - but that's the only sound it makes. It's also really easy too move about due to the wheels on the underside, so its really to get into place when you're installing it - or moving it to clean behind and under it. Finally the pictures do no do it justice - the colour and finish is so premium and superb quality - the black colour looks great, modern and sophisticated and will fit in brilliantly when my new kitchen is fitted. So am am totally 100% happy with my new fridge freezer. So glad that I purchased this one. And the fact it did not break the bank when purchasing this one.

“Worst experience ever, will never buy again! ”

I ordered a very expensive Miele Washing Machine (WWR860) that was delivered damaged, very big noticeable dent at the front of the unit, no one from Currys ever bothered to check the unit before delivery. Then I received 2 SMS saying a replacement unit is ordered and they will contact me for the delivery date. The Currys Customer Care over webchat also advised me that stock is coming on 6/12 and will get the new unit after that. Then after speaking with CC again over the phone I was told the order was actually cancelled by the driver and no new unit will be delivered, but no one decided to inform me until that time that I called them. The agent advised that I was miss-informed by them all this time. Then I was promised by the same agent that they will send me the complaint form (upon my request), but that did not happen either. After another 1h over web chat I was advised a complaint was raised. In summary I have lost a lot of money as I could have bought the same product from a different retailer during the same Black Friday event, lost a day from work to be there to collect a defective unit, spent a lot of time over the phone and via web chat and all for trying to buy something from this company. So un-organised and complete lack of responsibility.

“Curry’s DON’T KNOWHOW”

Curry’s DON’T KNOW HOW Visited Curry’s Selly Oak BIRMINGHAM this week to ask about a TV screen repair and was advised to telephone the replacement service for KnowHow. It was the number for MCSD. Telephoned them and after a prolonged wait, spoke to a human being. After 45 minutes discussion (only to arrange a collection, provision of a temporary replacement TV, and the return of the mended set) the date was set as today Friday. Eventually a message arrived confirming today 22nd October BETWEEN, believe it or not, 06.00 and 00.00 !! I am now waiting, perhaps ‘til midnight? The message also advised contacting visitupdate to check the situation but this site is NOT accessible. So I am wasting a day with no further information and little confidence that Curry’s will fulfil their obligations. I shall NEVER buy anything from Curry’s again, no matter that the shop is just over the road. DO take heed! today’s most dissatisfied customer.

“Failure to deliver”

I was given a delivery date for a TV display unit. The unit did not arrive on the due date. I tried to contact Currys to clarify the reason and to agree another date for delivery. The Currys automated telephone system did not give an option that was relevant and eventually I was cut us off after going through all of the alternative options. I attempted to make contact by email but there was no contact facility or email address on their website. There was an online Chat facility but it was not operating despite my making several attempts to make contact over the next few days. I made a formal written complaint and there has been no response. I am still without the unit and no delivery date. I am now having to cancel the orde and try and get a refund through my Credit Card provider Currys customer service is abysmal and I will never purchase an item from them again.

“Acer chrome book.”

I do not advise anyone to buy the acer chrome book from currys. It is a big sham and a waste of money, my laptops not long come back from repair from currys and the keyboards completely broke when they said they've fixed it. Buy at your own risk honestly I wouldn't advise or recommend any of yous to buy it.

“The worst company I have ever dealt with”

Ordered tv online. Faulty tv delivered. Tv collected and repair offered. Refused the repair and asked for new tv. Speak to different person each time I phone. 1 month later after contacting CEO told that new tv authorised. 1 week later still waiting for tv. and not even date for delivery. Terrible, terrible service.

“PAID EXTRA FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY, ITEM DIDN'T ARRIVE”

I ordered a washing machine from the Currys website, and paid extra for next day delivery. I was told the washing machine could arrive at any time from 7am to 7pm. I waited in all day, but it didn’t arrive. I didn’t even get a phone call from Currys to explain why they hadn’t delivered, and by the time I realised they weren’t coming it was too late for me to call customer services. I rang the next morning, and it took ages to get through. They didn’t apologise for the no-show, and when I asked when my washing machine would be delivered, they just said “we may deliver it later today, if we’ve got time”. I had to insist on a refund of the extra delivery charge I had paid, as I didn’t see why I should pay extra for next day delivery when they hadn’t delivered when they were supposed to! The washing machine did arrive eventually, although I had to stay in all day again without even knowing if they were going to turn up or not. Terrible customer service, I will not be ordering from Currys again.

“Falsely advertised EPC”

Ordered my slef a Samsung TV from currys with the understanding that the EPC rating was an A. Partially my fault because I had not noticed until I set the TV up and looked at the other side of the box that the rating was in fact a G... I'm furious and would like an explanation as to why the television was incorrectly advertised. In the long run it'll cost me more. The reason why I bought it was because of the advertised A rating.

“Broken item”

The item was received broken I have received my washing maschine broken and I called them straight away to send it back and get a replacement. At the moment i ordered it,the machine was reduced £100, but the price went back up. I have been told they could send me another one for the same price as this one is off sale. After i completed the transaction with them over the phone i noticed the washing machine wasn’t off sale. Now i have to wait another week to get this washing machine collected and get another one. Terrible customer service, definitely not ordering from curry’s ever again

“No delivery!”

Ordered large TV & wall bracket online on 13/03/2021, under one order. Paid for next day delivery for Sunday 14/03/2021. Received wall bracket, but not TV! Made several calls and webchats, was put on hold, and cut off after 40mins! webchat just got told false information, until my fourth attempt was told that there was a technical issue, and I would not receive TV. This meant that Ruined Mother Days ! Very stressed/frustrated with trying to contact Curry's' and not getting answers. Spend whole afternoon, of Mother’s Day, on phone or on a webchat. Made arrangement for help with installation of large TV, they are no longer available as they work.

I recommend contacting which magazine, they may be able to help and have the contacts. they helped me and sorted it out and even published it for me. Hope this helps. Craig

I'd start by contacting my local Citizens Advice office. They helped me and gave good advice ones when I had ordered something online that wasn't complete.
