Vampire romance readers will love to tenderly bite the caring charming champion, who is simply a nice individual; Rachel is his delightful counterpart if she can "live" long enough to permanently take the role. The story line is entertaining on two levels. First there is the good vs. evil war between the hero and his vile obsessed foe (role reversal); and second is Etienne's dilemma of bringing her over or not.
