The O2 X1 is the best phone that I've ever had, it's the easiest thing to use once you get used to it and the features on it are great, I've had mine for about 9 months now and it's done me nothing but good all along. Some people say it freezes, switches off etc, but mine has never done that, it has frozen a few times when I'm finding the name to send a text but usually it's a great joy 2 use and that problem I've easily found a way to solve, when you're writing a text message, before you send it go back to the main menu so that the text message can be saved so that if it does switch off or freeze, you will be able to restore the message with ease:).and I can also use any network sim card on it as well even though its not dual band (according to the description) but mine works well on every network, I would really recommend this phone to anybody, it's a definite thumbs up.

Overall I think the O2X1 is a great phone and would definatly recommend it despite its flaws. It is a big improvement on my Nokia 3200 which was also a good phone but the camera was of poor quality. I love the camera on the O2X1 and the screen display is A+++
I'd recommend to anyone its great, texting is good when you get used to the buttons.

“The O2 X1 is a great mobile phone, Slim, Attractive,...”

★★★★★

written by xxtigerzeyezxx on 05/05/2004

The O2 X1 is a great mobile phone, Slim, Attractive, Light, Accessible.
Battery Life lasts a while as it is Lithium.
Stunning wallpapers, Picture quality is good.
Lots of storage space for ringtones, photos.
Polyphonic ringtones, 40 great sounding ringtones.
Bells, Alarms, Text Message Tones. Flashes Different colours when someone rings.
Camera for photos, Good, Many selectable choices on frames, size, colour and quality picture.
Make videos. Use your pictures as backgrounds>

My Main BAD Point.

I went online from the games option menu for the arcade of games, Just to browse. When I returned to going to play my game it had deleted the games.
I will go to the O2 Shop as I phoned up Customer Services and they said go to the shop.

I recommend that if you buy this phone you buy it from.......

The O2 Shop.

That way if there is any faults at least they can help you. Whereas you buy it off the net, Big mistake.

“I got this O2 X1 mobile phone for christmas.although...”

written by pinkprincessclaire on 28/12/2003

I got this O2 X1 mobile phone for christmas.although ive only had it a few days ive grown quite attached to it as its a nice little phone. i had a few problems to start with because when i wanted to send a message i couldnt get the numbers out of the phonebook, i had to delete all the numbers and put them back in again and save them to the simcard (id saved them to the phone) and now i can do it. Also the inbox messages dont tell you who they're from till uve read the messages thats quite annoying.
The fact that i cant send picture messages to other phones realy annoyed me, but apparently its not 02's fault, its because the other networks dont have 07746 numbers in there system.sounds like rubbish to me but as long as they get it sorted soon i cant really complain (too much!)
Appart from the few problems i encounted on the first day i think this is definatley the best phone ive had, just takes a litlle getting used to. I dont regret getting the phone 1 bit and would recomend to anyone to get this phone. Hopefully ive helped any one who suffered the same problems and also i hope ive encouraged people to buy this phone, although i seem to have been a litle 2 honest?!?

“I got the O2 X1 mobile phone a couple of days ago and...”

★★★★★

written by jamesmac on 26/11/2003

I got the O2 X1 mobile phone a couple of days ago and i have to say that i have so far found it to be a superb handset. The screen is good with the 65k colours and is great for the photos and games.
The camera; this is an excellent feature and takes suprisingly good pictures for a camera phone. I like the zoom feature which comes in handy. In the shop they didn't tell me about the motion ability so was pleasantly suprised when i got it home and found it by the photo option. This is also very good but i have found that i am unable to play the clips back in real time, as they phone plays them quicker and there aren't any buttons that can be used to slow it down. Does anybody have and answer or suggestion to this? (my email is [email protected])
The games; you get two games and the ability to download more (though i have not tried this yet).

The two games are minigolf and Jumping Bear (I think). I prefer the minigolf and found the JB to be rather boring. However, they should both be suitable for those boring times when on the train or in work ;-) These games are also Java which makes it easier to download new games as their are more websites and O2 active is available.
The ringtones; i read a review saying that these were pathetic but belive them to be reasonably good. You get 30 altogether which gives you a good choice. Remember, if you like others fail to see my point, there is the website www.free-ringtones-free-logos.com were you can satisfy all your ringtone needs. Another good point, is that the ringtones are extremely loud and the vibrating is very strong and have so far never missed a call!
Another point that other people have commented on is that their phone is constantly freezing and the software crashing, but i can safely say (touch wood) that so far my handset has been great. I believe it to be the luck of the draw whether you get on of the minority of phones that are faulty or one of the moajority that are fine.
GPRS; on my prevous phone i never had GPRS and never used WAP, but since getting the X1 i have found i have started to use it alot more. For example, i wanted to know how the Mighty Liverpool had got on at the Riverside stadium but was nowhere near a T.V or radio so decided to have a look on my phones net. It was very simple to do and in no time i was reading all the footie results. Also, i needed to know when the next train was leaving from my home village, so as i was on the move i just looked on the internet and found the times. Easy :-)
Slow menu's; the advice i give you about these, as i admit they are quite slow compared to other phones i have used, is to just chill as what do a few milli-seconds matter? I have used the phone quite alot so far, and havent found the menus a problem though they are a tadge slow.:-)
Overall, i belive this phone to be outstanding, as it offers value for money (at £170 on PAYG-compared to it's rivals like samsung) and ton's of fab features. The camera is excellent, the screen is excellent, the ringtones and games are great fun and the call clarity and reception is also excellent. So as a whole i would say this phone was.....well.....excellent! :-)

I contacted o2 as my phone completely packed up, the guy I spoke to at o2 had the same phone for about the same time as me, which was approx 7 months, his had also completely stopped working. I now have a completely different phone as they said they have had a lot of people phoning with exactly the same problem after a period of time, so beware!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the look of the o2 X1 phone and the camera and other features are good, the problems I have had with mine is that it constantly locks up where I have to physically remove the battery to get the phone operational again and it turns itself off, over the weekend it happened 6 times, not good!!!!!!!!!
