The Whirlpool ADG 7340 doesn't clean dishes or glasses properly
Need to wash all items before putting in dishwasher
Often have to soak residue off glasses once they come out of dishwasher

This Whirlpool ADG 7340 dishwasher is 3 years old and has now broken down for the 4th time. First time it was a fault in the control board after only a year; then a seal failed, then the water level sensor failed just a month ago, now it is not working yet again( fault F4 on the display panel, which is very unhelpful!)
When it is working properly it still does not clean well ,despite my being meticulous about cleaning filters, spray arms etc every few days.On average 2 or 3 things have to be re-cleaned every wash
The arrangement of the lower loading basket is poorly designed.

My experience of the Whirlpool ADG 7340. Two faults so far...
A cheap plastic component failed before xmas leaving it useless for about 1 month. The repair company ran out of this part!
A 50 degree wash takes just over 2 1/2 hours and then doesn't get the dishes clean. This is unresolved.
The programmer, temperature sensor and heater have been replaced. The field engineer has heard reports that it's the 3 in 1 dishwasher tablets? You decide.
I believe it is a badly designed unit. The after sales is stressful at best. The balance between reliability and price has not worked for me.
My last dishwashed worked for 13 years until I gave it away when the kitchen was replaced.

Whirlpool customer support now say that the technical division of whirlpool UK have stated the dishwasher IS MEANT to take about 2 1/2 hours on a 50 degree wash and the quick 30 minute wash can take 45 minutes! One has to wonder why a programmer, heater, temperature sensor and motor were all replaced!
