I Got The Eltax Avr-200 For Free From Someone, Tho
I got the Eltax AVR-200 for free from someone, though how it's treated me so far, I would have no objection to paying for it.
According to the reciept it was purchased from Richer Sounds for about £80, I also got a pair of Gale Gold compact studio monitors which seem to work very well with the amp.
I haven't tried it above 50 volume yet, but from what other people have said, I might try it out to see what the "protect" function is about.

The Eltax Avr-200 Has Been Very Unreliable, After
The Eltax AVR-200 has been very unreliable, after only 12 months I started having problems with the channel levels, and then shortly after had problems with the speakers due to the amp malfunctioning. Overall, a good if your looking for a cheap and cheerful amp but not very long lasting.

I Bought This Eltax Avr-200 Amplifier From Richer
I bought this Eltax AVR-200 amplifier from Richer Sounds in Hanley, Stoke for the £79.99. It has 5.1 channels (5x60w + 1x120w) and an RDS radio tuner with preset equiliser modes. I used this amplifier with some Aural envelope EX-300 floorstanders and and som Gale Silver monitors as my rears. It has the capability of providing thunderous lows and crisp highs and mids, however the CPU can cut out at high volumes where the bass is high. When this happens the display says "Protect". I'd guess this is because my speakers are 100w and so it avoids clipping by doing this, however it can be annoying. However, providing you turn the bass down or use less powerful speakers, this can be a great amplifier and excellent value for money.
