I Bought This A Few Years Ago For Around £10
I bought this a few years ago for around £100. at the time it had all the features I wanted plus more. I was impressed with the very novel way of opening which is that the front panel opens. the only fault I had with the system is that the remote did not work at first. it turned out to be the battery was flat.
oh and by the way did I say the sound quality is PHENOMENAL!! for the price.
this is by no means the best system out but for a teenager/student this is an ideal system to buy for a reasonable price

Bought For Only 76 Euro (croatia, With 50% Discoun
Bought for only 76 Euro (Croatia, with 50% discount), Jan 07. Value for money is unbeatable. Most what I enjoy is excellent sound quality, especially bass. I did not expect such good sound from Philips. Design is also very interesting, I like it. Main disadvantage is small and hardly readable display so cannot see name of radio station or number of album on MP3 CD.

The Philips Mcm-350 Has Good Sound, Is Compact And
The Philips MCM-350 has good sound, is compact and plays MP3s but I had to bring it back because it puts pauses between tracks on CDs that play through from track to track without pauses (most dance CDs). A very bad point in my opinion as it sounds like it is skipping.
Its predecessor (which is black and much nicer looking) does not have this problem.
Manual does not offer any help with this problem so I doubt its a setting.

The Philips Mcm-350 Is The Only Item I Own From Ph
The Philips MCM-350 is the only item I own from Philips, having previously bought mostly Sony. By and large I'm quite happy, it is a stereo suited to a bedroom and the fact that it fits on a normal depth shelf was a major selling point for me(the main component is less than 30cm/12" deep). At €200 it was very well priced if you compare it to similar sized systems from Sony or Panasonic. The CD player has an unusual and unique way of opening, which is something I like about the Micro System, my only worry is that this design will be prone to breaking after regular use. Maybe it's a little paranoid, but it's something I worry about after previous experiences. Another thing that pleases me about the stereo is the detail, the remote is a work of art, the stereo turns off if you forget and automatically conserves electricity and the radio gets great reception from the supplied aerial. All in all, I am glad I bought this system, in it's price range it has the best looks and sound quality.
