I bought my Falcon second-hand from a cash-conversion shop. It was dusty and very obviously had been hanging on the wall a fair while. I tried it-wildy out of tune. Tuned it to drop-D,tried again. I was pleasantly surprised at the 'brightness' of it's tone. NO fret buzz, even though a few of the frets were less than smooth. The strings have been replaced,as the strings of ANY 2nd-hand guitar should be. While they were off,the frets were checked and where necessary smoothed. Now,it plays as well as ANY acoustic in my collection-but at a peanut price! This stuff about needing constant retuning...well,if you leave the original strings on,yes. They're not great.. A decent set solves that. Yes,the body is thin-but a thicker body does NOT necessarily mean a good tone, that depends mightily on the quality of materials used.All-in-all a good instrument for a small price. Ok-a precis; good guitar for it's money-change the o/e strings and be very happy-don't expect Martin quality for Mickey Mouse money and you'll be ok.

OK so this guitar isn't brilliant compared to a £200 instrument, but (and its a huge but) its only £50.

My dad got me a Falcon guitar a few weeks ago, its quite good but a one complaints. It goes out of tune very quickly so your contiously tuning it. Other than that its AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good beginner guitar

This guitar sounds like a professional expensive acoustic guitar that you can play all styles on, only it comes as a very reasonable price. If you are an amateur or just beginning to learn the guitar this is a great option to start with.

The Falcon FG100 is a great guitar at a remarkable price (I managed to pick mine up at a mere £35 including delivery)
The sound of the guitar is open and bright. The strings are easily played and well fitted. The overall build is solid, although some of the parts do seem slightly 'cheap' compared to other more expensive models, such as my Tanglewood.
The body of the Falcon is actually slightly thinner than my Tanglewood which makes it more comfortable to hold.
If you are looking for a cheap guitar that can easily compete with more expensive models, then do not look any further than the Falcon FG100.

Looks good and sounds good although I think the Falcon neck is slightly to big. Very nice but would be better if neck slightly smaller and body slightly smaller

Overall this is a great buy for anyone looking for a guitar in the sub £100 price range. I'd recomended changing strings to phosphor bronze, this gives a much better sound than the odd steel ones it comes with. Also, for the confident person, sanding off 1-2mm from the bridge will help lower the action. But be careful not to take to much off and make sure you confident that your takling the job correctly as I suspect getting a replacement bridge may not be so easy.

Falcon acoustics offer the inexperienced or novice acoustic player the chance to enjoy the experience of playing a full size, full bodied dreadnought style acoustic guitar, at a totally affordable price.
Falcon acoustic guitars have a very warm and clean sound; just what you would want from a good quality acoustic guitar. Also, the Falcon acoustic guitars look traditional, but the dexterity of this instrument is far more advanced. This is because many styles of music can be played on this guitar. It can produce sounds that would suit blues or jazz music, but it can also produce a mighty country sound. I think that this guitar is very capable of taking everything you throw at it. I am amazed at how this guitar can sound soulful and also be an excellent country/western guitar. I have been playing guitar for a long time now, and I feel that this guitar is one of the best guitars that I have played, and I have played a few.
