I hav 06 espace privilage 95000k on 3rd engine now bought from a renault mechanic who replced engine after turbo failure and blown engine sold it to me after he replced it wth 2nd hand one had it for 12 months then it went bang on me turbo failure leadin to conrod through engine block common fault with 2.2 engine bough 2nd hand engine for 1200 had renalt guy that sold me car fit it for me 3k later stil ok but hold my breath wen I drive it askd him wats the real prob with these engines he said he didnt realy know could b over fillin engine oil under fillinor not rite oil could knock turbo out and blow engine I did an oil change myself and admit used semi synth instead of fully synth he then said itgot to b 5 40 fully or ure askin for probs with this car it was after my oil change a month later turbo blew he said good oil chage 5 40 fully synth about every 8000k not 18k renault recomend wil reduce the chances of this problem .ita lovely car but with too many engine isues .if u like the espace buy a 2.0 dci 2007 onwards its a nissan engine and a more reliable unit but keep away from the 2.2 version unless u got a lot of money
