Glengoyne Single Malt Whisky

Unfortunately, for my taste at least, the lack of peat smoke brings out too much of a sherry taste. The whisky is very sweet and though it is layered, these tastes are rather similar.

I visited the Glengoyne destillery and like the whisky. Though it is a whisky to join a collection and to be drunk between others. For this whisky one should nose dry and drink dry, as adding water takes away the spicy edge, which for me is the best thing about this whisky.
