Coventry Airport is situated extremely close to the A45 which allows for easy access and more importantly a prompt escape from the airport. I must admit that a good point about the airport is the friendly staff, I use Coventry airport on a regular basis and the staff there are very friendly, in specific the Immigration Officers who operate the control, they are always polite courteous and well mannered and is a joy to pass through the control. I would give them all a pay rise! Not a bad airport to travel in and out of.

Their Customer Service needs looking at and drastic changes required. they need to be more organised than they are to avoid long delays and confusion. The food is worth a go though as it's funny watching them bring it out and trying to find who ordered what.

We travelled in 2005 with Thomson Holidays and we found Coventry Airport to be a pleasant experience. It is easy to get to by car, and it was very quick on the return journey. We were out of the airport and on the motorway in 35 minutes!!
Travelling again in June 2006!!

Coventry Airport it's a portacabin. This is the first thing you notice! The entire terminal is a makeshift affair!
However as makeshift affairs go, it's not all bad. The worst thing is the check in, there are just a handful of counters so only two flights can comfrtabley be goign through the check thing at once, so make sure you don't arrive early as you won't be able to get through to the departure area. The check area is small, cold, cramped and grimy, fairly typical of UK airports, just smaller.
The only facilities are a small cafe around the corner from the main portacabin in another one. However it's very reasonably priced and friendly. It's rarely crowded sicne most people don't know it's there.
IN the departure section there are enough seats and newspapers, magazines, a few travel bits and pieces and more refreshments being sold. There is also a very basic currency exchange but don't rely on them having much currency.
That's all there is. It's comfy enough and beats getting lost at bigger airports. Baggage reclaim is pretty efficient on the whole.
There is no decent bus service to the airport itself, though it's possible to pick one up on the road nearby if you don't have much luggage. There nearest train station is the one in coventry city centre. There are not always taxis available, however there are facilties to call one.
If it were not for the lousy check in and lack of ground transport links it'd be OK.
