Impure, In Disrespect To Mankind - Coming out of Germany we have the brutal Death Metal group 'Impure'. Delivering a fierce mixture of Death Metal and old school Grindcore, the band hammer through the ten tracks on the album in a mere 28mins and 41secs.

The album begins with a very morbid and satanic-sounding intro, blasting out a slow Doom beat with an ultra low and deep sounding voice speaking over it. The track lasts for a lengthy 2mins 1sec, until you are thrown into the neck-breaking speed of the track "In Disrespect." The band play a tight and technically impressive collection of Death Metal tracks with vocalist Henry Mann's deep guttural growl making the words impossible to fathom.

The album races from one track to the next, blasting out a non-stop barrage of fast-paced Death Metal that manages to show a diverse collection of styles, techniques and creative songwriting skills. With regular changes within the tracks' tempos, Impure manage to make each song sound unique even on the first listen.

The album ends with a creepy outro that marches on a constant drone of haunting, backward speech and guttural moans. The slow-paced drone of the track is complemented well with the weird vocal effects put around the track's tempo.

All in all, Impure have managed to create a brutal album that delivers a ferocious and at the same time immensely dark album. Although the album is not an entirely original piece of work and indeed a stand out masterpiece of Death Metal, it still holds a certain strength that makes it an album well worth picking up.
