“Expensive and disappointing”

I think that for what I paid for a Wedding Album and photo's the end result was quite disappointing. The colours did not seem to be "true". I would not use this Company again and would not recommend.

“Photo colours could be better!”

I really enjoyed creating the photobook I have just received, plenty of backgrounds and images to decorate your book with and make it look really lovely. It looked great online but now it's printed some of the pictures haven't come out so well the colours on them are too bright and incorrect and some of the photos are a little blurry. I think because you can only see the photos quite small it's hard to tell if they are blurry. Overall I am happy with my photobook however I don't feel it is worth £42 and do not think I will be using photobox again.

“What's happened usually good”

I ordered three items one calander and 2 Christmas cards on the 8th December and paid nearly £9 for next day delivery with estimated dispatch on 11th December. The calander was dispatched on the 11th however I did not receive it until today the 15th!!! And my other two items have not yet been dispatched. Very disappointed and should have saved my money as next day delivery didn't happen. However saying this they are usually quite good and I have never had problems with them in the past.

“They try ard, but lots of problems”

I ordered prints with frames. The uploading process was painful, but that could have been due to my browser. PB dealt willingly with my complaint about the quality of a print and provided a credit. However redeeming it was difficult and required several attempts and multiple contacts with their customer service. They try hard, but should perhaps concentrate on getting their customer service right first time.

“Fast tracked 16th birthday present didn't arrive ”

Really enjoyed making the photobook for my nieces 16th birthday present, rang photobox for advice on how to make sure the photobook was here for her birthday, was advised to get it fast tracked and I would have it in my hands within three working days,so I did just that and today when the book should have been delivered I've been informed it won't be sent out tomorrow and yet it clearly says it was packaged yesterday on the website and was told they have no idea why it want fast tracked or sent yesterday the offer of a refund of the fasttrack price and some prints dosent help when there's no special present on such an important birthday very dissapointed to day the least !!!!

“Background and design choices”

Much as I like Photobox especially for the Photobooks, I wish there were more flexibility for the layouts. This is especially true for collages where one is stuck with a limited choice regarding numbers of photos on a collage, their arrangment (portrait vs landscape- only the overall collage offers a choice between these two) and also the background.

“Iphone covers”

I have used photobox many times and I do think they provide an excellent service! However, I do wish they could help a little more, for example, I recently bought two custom photo collage iphone covers which were a great idea. However, perhaps because I'm not particularly great at computer graphics or my home computer is not easy to manipulate, I found it difficult sizing the photos into the template spaces and it wasn't made clear that there ought to be an overlap to wrap around the cover. The products came and they're ok, but parts of the sides weren't all covered with sides of photos. I would have liked photobox to have tidied them up a little for me - that's all.

“Third photo book ”

This is my third photo book. The two previous ones were excellent but, whether it was down to the quality of my photos, the last one was not the same sharp quality. There is guidance to warn you if the photos are not up to standard . I will take more notice of that next time. Perhaps my rating is a bit harsh, but this has not put me off ordering more products in the future. Delivery excellent. I ordered a mini iPad cover and that came within two days.

“Final product great but problems on the way.”

The book that I received was great but I found the editing process a bit difficult. I was trying to make a 100 page book with 300 or so photos. The uploading took ages but that's not Photobox's fault. However although the photos were loaded in date order, they changed order during the editing process as they were loaded into the book. This made the whole process time consuming and difficult.

“discount advertisement was a lie.”

The finished product is fantastic. The thing that disappointed me was that it showed a 60% off offer for calendars, but stated that you didn't need a code, it would be taken off at check out. This was a lie, I did not receive any discount. I put this in writing to photo box when they asked for feedback, their reply was that they are glad I'm happy with the product and asked me to write a review on here.

“I like the books”

I have two accounts: the main one in France, where I live, and a second in the UK, where my daughter lives. When she creates a book that I want, or when I create a book or something to be delivered to her address, I use the UK account. My photos are mostly on the French account. I like the books. I do find the site (the French one, being the most recently used) to be slow and crashes. I would prefer what some other sites offer: software that I download and use to create the album offline, which I can then upload in one go. I would like the promotions in the UK and FR to be similar and offered at the same time; in fact, then I'd only maintain a single account. I like particularly the offers of credits with 3 to 6 months to create the album, but what I really would like is a single account with two delivery addresses, so that the plant chosen for the printing and delivery would be the same and charged for "local" delivery; all my photos would be in one place; and I wouldn't juggle between offerings.

“Product disappointing, customer service excellent!”

I have been using Photobox for my annual diary for the last 4 years. As usual I opted for the premium diary this year, unfortunately the quality of the paper was not as good as the previous products I have received and I fear the pages will easily fall out with some wear and tear. To give Photobox praise where it is due they have acknowledged the problem and credited the amount I paid for the diary back to my account.

“Excellent producr dumbed down again”

I have been buying the deluxe photo diary for many years now and the product is basically first class. However, this year the paper quality has again been reduced. This is not as drastic as the last time this was done, but the product now has little resemblance to the product bought some years ago. It has gone from fairly stiff shiny paper, which showed the photos at their best, to a matt paper of less weight, and now to a paper of even less weight; albeit a small change this time. Perhaps they hope that by downgrading the quality a small amount each year we will not notice! Uploads now much easier and faster, and the production & delivery speed almost unbelievable. I know that once I get used to the new feel I shall be happy, as everything else is constant. I had the added bonus of a refund from Photobox, which wsa generous and makes me feel much better.

“Photobox Personalised ipad case”

The price of the case is good after discount, about £36 before and about £22 after (seen alternatives for about £26). Delivery was very prompt and the product quality is fine. Photobox customer service is good and on the ball (main reason I still use them). Uploading photos was easy and there is a handy indicator to say whether the quality of these photos are of good quality. The ipad case creator software is easy to use in principle - photo placements are easily created and can be dragged and resized around the case template. However, the software is frustrating to use in practice. When aligning photos next to each other, it is difficult to see whether they are correctly aligned or that there is a gap between them because the size of the case template is so small. You can choose different background colours, and I used pink just to help show up any gaps. However, you still cannot be sure and the user should not have to do this anyway. You can overlap adjacent photos to be sure but I had photos where this would be a definite compromise. Worse still is when you try to align the edge of the photo to the vertical edge of the case. As you carefully move or resize your photo placement to the edge, the placement suddenly expands hugely in size. Hence your photo can either be short of the edge (resulting in a blank border about 8mm wide along the curved vertical length) or most of the photo will be excluded from the case (think only about the right third of the photo will be included when I tried to fit 3 photos across horizontally).

“review of a wedding book”

I put together a wedding book for my friends and was initally really happy with the book and its quality but on second look one of my pictures looked marked so I checked it wasnt on the original photo. It wasnt, so Id suggest that photobox provide a quality check before the books are sent out in future. I have in the passed had panoramas printed and have been delighted with the printing, so all things considered I would recommend this service to my friends and as a photgrapher albeit amatuer, I will be using again.

“What a shame.”

The service is great, in principle, with a wide range of reasonably priced products. The staff response is brilliant with one individual using the term 'you are in a safe pair of hands' which instantly defused my frustration and fully resolved my need. The need was occasioned boy the fact that I had spent five hours uploading, captioning and arranging a number of photos from my computer for a photo book intended as a present - to then suffer the Photobox website crashing and losing everything. This was then compounded by the fact that when I then repeated the exercise and placed the order, something else happened! Later, when my spouse returned, I proudly offered to show her the labours of my creative skills - to find that, inexplicably, the captions were wrong and the order of the photos to the captions had moved around the photo book in a semi random order... However, as I said earlier, the staff responded magnificently and with tolerance of my frustration to the extent that I can only recommend the service and hope that the basis of my irritation was entirely due to computer/server aberrations.

“photobox book”

Website easy to use and navigate Customer service very helpful The 50 page book looked beautiful Quality of the pictures - could be better, many were grainy - and this reduced the rating to a 3 However a great way to capture pictures in one place rather than 100's on my PC

“Files not retrievable”

A very good and reasonably priced service. But make sure you have retained copies of your files because once photobox has them they are lost to you forever. I would never recommend photobox without this caveat.

“Great photobooks, good value on offer, sharing photos bad”

I have only bought Photobooks, and then only January - February when there are 60-70% off offers. The quality of the books is excellent, with bright sharp images, but there are silly niggling problems with the upload & design software, and I have stopped sharing albums of photos with friends on-line because the results can be very unfortunate. One reviewer had problems chopping off heads or feet; there are handles on the images to enable you to get round this, but they are not obvious and it took me a fair bit of trial and error to get it right. When you want to share photos Photobox sends an e-mail with a link. This does not always work and your friends see a blank space on the screen where the photos should be and a box at the side inviting them to buy (and a 100-page Photobook is offered at some £88!) This creates completely the wrong impression and is very embarrassing. A great product, but ...

“Prefer photobooks to prints”

I've ordered two photobooks, both of which I have found to be of really clear printing quality - the details have remained sharp and crisp. The prices for these books weren't too bad either, and I liked being able to choose form a variety of styles and to choose my own layout, add text etc - so a big thumbs up to the photobooks. However, I orderd some 6x4 gloss prints, following my engagement party and felt they were of poor quality, overall. I'd worn a red dress and the red seemed to have bled/haloed round the edges on my photos. The prints seemed blurry and not very clear. These images were taken on 14mp camera and when zoomed into are crisp and sharp, so need for them to come out blurred, with colours bleeding! I do like being abe to print on 8x10 without feeling obliged to crop photo - you can trim off whte borders, instead and have full image almost 8x10. Not many let you do this, instead cropping the image for you. However, think I will order some test shots to see the quality first before buying lots!
