Blaupunkt Santa Cruz MP34 CD/MP3

15 years ago Blaupunkt produced good products, don't be fooled to thinking that this is still the case! This Santa Cruz MP34 unit is out priced and compared to similar Panasonic or Sony products there's not many good points.

They are among the WORST in terms of reliability & they have closed down most of there service centres. Also when these units break down most parts are not available easily & the price for some single parts is almost as much as the purchase price of whole unit. Like many other manufactures they have no interest in there faulty units been repaired.

They would rather sell you a new one rather than provide the spares to fix their unreliable product that broke down on you.

If you don't believe me try pricing some parts like a laser for your CD player & Audio Amp Chip or even a set of bulbs, you will be shocked!

Blaupunkt Santa Cruz MP34 Radio CD / MP3 Receiver is an auto-radio for general users because it's easy to use and of course you can listen to MP3. I am happy with it. For price like this radio cost, you get what you pay for.

I bought the Blaupunkt Santa Cruz MP34 radio CD / MP3 receiver about 3 months ago after purchasing my nearly new car. I originally choose it so that the display would match the dash board lights in my Polo. The display is red and bright blue. It is quite easy to use and features optional pop / rock settings and you can choose base and equaliser etc. The only thing that really bugs me is that I can not get the time to save, oh and when a traffic report comes on, you nearly jump out of your skin it is that loud! I have no idea how to fix these problems without looking through the encyclopaedia that was sent with it!

The sound is good but if you turn it up to loud with bass on, it will make a kind of trumping sound, I don't think this is the CD players fault though, it's probably my speakers. Its output is 4x45w.
