I have been with Atlantic E&G for almost three years. In March 2011, they stopped providing me with online bills despite constant email reminders from me and regular meter readings. In the last week, I have managed to secure bills covering the last 9 months on both electricity and gas. Coincidentally, in March 2011, my fixed price gas tariff came to an end. Atlantic defaulted me to a new tariff WITH a Daily Standing Charge despite my never previously opting to be on any tariff which carried a Daily Standing Charge. When I alerted them to this, they have now switched me over to a No Standing Charge tariff but refuse to reconsider my earlier bills so it looks like I'll be off to a new utilities provider in the next few days. I had hoped for better from Atlantic, a company I had previously recommended to many friends. However, when it comes to profit over customer service, I guess they are all much the same. I am looking for a new supplier electric and gas supplier, as Atlantic Electric and Gas offer very poor meter readings. Few live visits, and the live visits were by people who could not read the meter properly, and I was under-read by 10000 kwts. I then had a bill of over £900 sterling when I read the meter properly!
