“Save yourself ”

Bought Nasa telescope and t-shirt bundle in late November for £29.99 After the t-shirt turns up without telescope. I contact them, after bouncing silly messages around and then a ridiculously dumb form to fill out. 3-4 weeks later. Today 22nd of December 2021 they tell me it’s out of stock and they will refund me. We hope? However, checking their website they are still selling the same bundle but for £63.99. Please be aware my little boy has 1 gift missing this Christmas. I’m hoping you won’t risk it.

“Prepare to jump through hoops for non receipt resolve”

I ordered a pug dog mask for an xmas pressie on the next day delivery service. The delivery address was full and clear and it is a shop so is open 8am to 5pm. The item was signed for by some unknown person at whatever address the courier decided to deliver it to, at 10.23am so certainly not the shop. On 19th Dec I emailed IWOOT to say it had not been delivered/signed for by me/the shop assistant. They came back to me the next day with questions to confirm a few things to which I responded straight away...still enough time to replace before xmas, I thought. No.....a further email to my reply asked me to then complete by hand, sign and scan back a form; my printer ink is running low but I sent them as good a copy as possible with all the parts fully completed. Back came an email saying that the scan copy was not good enough and they could send me one.....by this time I'm getting the feeling of being given the 'run around'. I've now got my husband to print off the form at work and have re-scanned it. I'm sure there will be other 'issues' before/if they replace my item. I will not be using IWOOT again as there are far easier sites to deal with that have better customer service....such as live chat. Maybe I'll get it sorted by March for the persons birthday......maybe!!

“difficult to unsubscribe”

The products were okay. It was ruined because once I had made one order they have bombarded me with emails. These emails do not contain an unsubscribe button, and they have made it ridiculously difficult to find out how to unsubscribe. I still do not know if it has worked. Result. I will never buy anything from them again.

“Beware of Omissions”

Bought an experience day for a child's school leaving present. Was advertised as being valid for 10 months from day of purchase but upon receipt of voucher discovered it was only valid for five months. No e mail address or telephone contact available. Spoke to source of voucher for whom IWOOT are agents who informed me that such vouchers are issued in November for sale following January and therefore IWOOT should amend their web site accordingly. Luckily source - Experience More - kindly extended voucher at no extra cost (after three calls to the firm though) but BEWARE. On the positive side it arrived very promptly.

“Beware the 'free delivery'”

I used to use IWOOT regularly as they do have a great range of unusual gifts. Last Christmas my package hadn’t arrived 10 days after ordering, and IWOOT were unable to tell me when the order would arrive, but were unable to cancel it as it was on its way, so I had to go out and buy replacement presents for the family on Christmas Eve. Of course, it arrived while I was at the shops so the kids all did very well out if it, even if my wallet didn’t! After a few expensive calls, I did manage to cancel one particularly late item. IWOOT recently sent me a discount code. Although the expiry date on the code was BEFORE the date they emailed me, I decided to try it and had a look on the site. I didn’t need anything specific, but as the big banner on every page stated ‘free delivery, no minimum order’ I bought a couple of small stocking fillers to put away for Christmas. When the confirmation email came through I was surprised to see 4.95 shipping charges (on a £9 order). I contacted IWOOT but they never respond to messages very quickly, and I wasn’t prepared to pay the premium phone cost, so the items had arrived the next day before I actually got a response. Apparently, despite their pushy advertising of ‘free delivery’, the payment screen defaults to express delivery and I had missed this. Yes, it was my error and I know other online retailers sometimes do this, but I question the ethics of a site that blatantly pushes the ‘free delivery’ message and then defaults to the most expensive option. I won’t be using them again and have requested that my details be removed from their marketing lists.

I ordered something after seeing that iwantoneofthose.com would deliver it the next day. They didn't. They hadn't even shipped. The item I purchased was on the site for £10.99 but by the time it'd gone through the purchase process, mysteriously had gone up to £11.99

“poor after sales service - wii go vacation”

My order arrived fairly promptly but unfortunately there was a fault with the disc so it had to be returned. Thankfully I DID get a proof of postage because apparently my parcel has never been recieved at the depot. I faxed over the proof of postage after 10 days and this was acknowledged promptly. BUT I am still waiting for a replacement to be sent out over 2 weeks later. They say that there are stock issues and they are contacting the supplier but if that is the case, why is the same product available to buy on their site with a note that it is in stock and usually despatched within 24 hours. I am far from amused and have just issued the ultimatum to get their butts into gear or give me a refund. This was a Christmas pressie for my children and a month later they still haven't been able to play! I will not be using IWOOT again. I wish I had known about their bad customer service reputation before - not good at all!

“Still Waiting”

I ordered a bunch of things to be shipped out to Singapore for Christmas. I received an email on 16 November 2011 to say that they'd been dispatched - as of today (6/1/12) there is still no sign of them. Contacting the Customer Service at IWOOT was OK, they said they'd be in touch and then a few days later asked me to print off and fill in a form attached to the email - but there was no form attached - this was before Christmas. Got back in touch to ask for another form to be emailed and then nothing from them. Emailed again today to ask once more. Getting on for 2 months now and no sign of the goods. However, I can't give them a completely bad review because I did order for a relative in the UK separately and they got their gift very quickly and nicely wrapped too (I had paid for gift wrapping). It may be an overseas delivery problem which is why I have not given them the lowest rating. To sum up - it seems to be OK if you live in the UK - but I wouldn't order from them again to be shipped abroad. Amazon goods arrive here OK, so I don't know why IWOOT's haven't got here unless they perhaps sent them surface mail (but surely they would mention that on the website if that was their delivery method............wouldn't they?).

I ordered in good faith based on the next day delivery promise. Items have not arrived and according to their system most have not been dispatched (though there system says the predicted dispatch date is yesterday!) I have left 3 messages requesting they contact me so that I can change the delivery address as I am somewhere else for Christmas and all have been ignored. I can only concluded that these items will not be with me for Christmas as promised and that I will have to get alternative presents. VERY disappointed - strongly suggest yo do not use this company.

“Never again!!!!”

After receiving my items today I am deeply sadden in how they were delivered. To start the box looked old and tatty and was torn around the edges. There was not a great deal of tape securing the box lid down unlike there has been in the past when using this company (not that I have ever been that impressed by them)- they used to have company branded tape and stamp on the box indicating where the package had come from but nothing of the sort. The items were all rattling around in the box and there was barely any protective packing inside when I opened it up. Was annoyed to see that the plastic box containing the egg massager was snapped at one corner and had clearly been opened as the Sellotape had been peeled back and then re-stuck. The box containing the mug set looks old and tatty, it looks as if this item had been stored in poor conditions. Was confused as to why the most breakable item; the ceramic Eco cup had not been wrapped in protective wrapping. A bit of common sense was clearly lacking on the packing my order. And to add further insult I did not receive any form of paperwork ie. receipt or return form from the company like you usually would expect with an Internet/catalogue order. This was the last time I will ever use the company again. This was the last chance as they still owe me £120 as I purchased an underwater camera that never turned up and when querying this I was told they don't even sell that product but they had clarification of my payment!!! They told me I wad the one that had to fill out sheets of forms in order to get the money back as they didnt have the item I ordered and they were not even the slightest bit sorry. Never again!!!

“12 Days waiting, was not despatched untill 5 days on!”

I brought Zumba Fitness for Wii console. The price was good , average to all other game stores. I decided to buy from this site to give it a go really im always buying from the big stores I like to suport the new coming stores. Bad decision.. When i ordered my item they did not actually dispatched the item up till 5 days i actually ordered it. Then i didn't get the item untill 12 days later. Not only that they told me it was royal mail first class. the customer service advice seemed to be all lies, and excuses. They told me i should always allow 10 days after the dispatchal day. well I didn't understand this as the royal mail site tell you it should be there for 2-5 days. I have also talked to a few people afterwards and they ordered items and either didn't recieve them till a month after or didn't even recieve the item at all! Terrible site, not happy - DO NOT RECOMEND.

i am very upset with my last purchase it was a aqua stripe jumper by laura scott i have only worn it 3 times and i have only had it 1 week i washed it once as reccomended on label and the white stripe has been affected and turned blue so obviousley it has run i am very unhappy with this product it washes poorly i hope i get credited back as 35 pounds is alot of money to me.if anyone else has had same problem which i should think they have.

Five items ordered, all initially shown as 'in stock'. Account details then showed 2/5 out of stock, cancellations for 2 items went through ok. Other 3 items generated confusing e-mails and the one which was said to have 'supplier problems' ended up being delivered first. One item still remains undelivered after 12 calendar days. Not impressive.

I recently bought an item from this online store when postage was 99p (ordered 09/02) and I received an e-mail today saying that after administrative difficulties that my order was now cancelled. There is nothing wrong with my paypal etc and I have used them before.
Now if I want to buy the item (worth £5) it will cost me £5 postage instead of 99p, and it took them 8 days to inform me.

Purchased a 'Sat Nag' from them. The site made it sound like a really fun gadget to have and that it made loads of different comments but unfortunately it turned out to be very cheap and nasty. The plastic is quite brittle and the item is similar to something I found in a £1 store.
Still, It's my fault for trusting the review and the service was still very good. It's just a shame that some of the items arn't as good as they're made out to be...

Didn't get an e-mail confirmation but an e-mail query sent Sat a.m. was answered courteously and accurately by Tues p.m. (not bad in the run-up to Christmas).

Alcohol breath testers with 'built in UV indicator' DO NOT have UV indicators.

Snowboard TV game was not as in pictures (which shows English control labels, suggesting English language packaging & instructions). Packaging/instructions are in various European languages but not English.

The purchases were for Xmas gifts, so they have not been tried.

On their website there is a "Contact Us" form. I was too kind and gave them plenty of time to reply but it meant we became pen pals for about 2 months. In the end I only got my refund because I got PayPal involved.
