I ordered two lockets, one for myself and one for my sister/cousin. I was recently diagnosed with cancer and planned to glue one mustard seed in each locket to be reminded of God's promise of faith during those times when I am struggling. For days it was reported that my order had been "settled", but I did not receive the lockets. When I called yesterday morning to check on this, the man who answered said, "Waldo Watches". I apologized and explained that I was attempting to reach Smart Bargains. He rudely responded, "This IS Smart Bargains!" Since he was so rude, I asked him how I was supposed to know that these two companies are one in the same. I explained the situation to him and told him that there was no UPS record of the tracking number assigned to my order. He checked and said the tracking number was much too long ( 26 numbers), but he didn't know what the problem was. He said he would research the problem and email me that afternoon with the correct tracking number. I received no email and when I called yesterday afternoon, customer service was closed. I checked my email mid-morning today, and still no email. I called again and a different person answered. She came back with the same response and said the necessary department had not responded to requests for information. She added that they would email me later when they got a response. I requested to speak with a supervisor and was told that she was busy with another customer. I offered to hold for her and was told they could not hold the phone line open for me. I explained the importance of those lockets and was told, "I know how you feel". At this point, I was totally frustrated and informed the representative that they had lost a long-term customer. At this point, I was told that the supervisor had said Smart Bargains would refund my money. I am due back at the cancer hospital next week, but I must start looking for lockets again.

I purchased A Video Camcorder, April 2012.

I purchased this from Smart Bargains ./ Amazon Market Place.

Unfortunately it stopped working. Within 6 weeks.

I contacted Smart Bargains and Amazon. I informed them of the problem.

the reply I got from Smart Bargains was

This product has 1 year manufacture warranty and in case of any fault now, please contact the manufacture to resolve the issue.

this is completely against The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) states that when a consumer buys

goods from a trader they must be: as described; of a satisfactory quality;

and fit for any purpose made known at the time of sale to the seller.

This legislation also states that the seller, not the manufacturer, is

legally obliged to sort out a problem if the goods do not meet these

requirements.The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) says: if goods break within the

first six months after purchase then there is a presumption the goods were

faulty when sold.

I complained to both Smart Bargains and Amazon about this .

Smart Bargains never replied to any of my emails and I sent loads .

Amazon said they couldnt help. it had nothing to do with them it was a third party sellar.

I sent loads of emails to Amazon complaining that they are letting third party sellars sell items on there wedsite .

that do not comply with The Sale of Goods Act .

they didnt care. Amazon were no help at all.

Before I sent all these emails. I did actually contact the manufacture of the camera.

I phoned them and emailed them and had to send them proof of purchase.eventually they agreed to repair the camera.

the only problem was they wanted me to send it to the Czech Republic which is the nearest repair centre to the uk.

The cost to send the camera is around £15.00, which the manufacture said I will have to pay for.

This is totaly unacceptable. I am not prepared to send the camera to Czech Republic.

Not only will this cost me around £15.00 but if the camera goes missing.

Once it is out of the uk.. Then what would I do.

I wouldnt buy anything from Amazon market place again.

well not anything that could break down.

its not worth the hassle.

I know that most of them are probably ok and you wouldnt have any problems.

but I wouldnt take the chance especially when Amazon refuse to do anything.

If you buy anything from Amazon Market Place and it goes faulty after 30 days you could be on your own if the market place trader refuses to help.

you will have to send the item to the manafacturer where ever that might be at your own cost.

Do not buy anything from Smart Bargians / Amazon market Place

if it goes faulty after a few weeks you are on your own.

I am currently taking Smart Bargains.to the small claims

court.

I bought two slip covers for a couch and chair from Smart Bargains, they didnt fit, and were exceptionally cheaply made. I was not happy at all, knowing I would have to pay $20 out of pocket to return them. Once I sent them back through UPS I waited and waited for the credit back to my account. It never came. And although I provided a valid ups tracking number they denied ever recieving my return. Now I am out over $100. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.

I placed order with Smart Bargains for a pressure cooker which was supposed to come 5 pieces and they sent just 4. I sent back to replace my merchandise and the second was missed 2 pieces again.

I've bought a lot of stuff from these guys, and I've never had any trouble. On occasions they have mucked up some orders but they also rectify it.

I always check Smart Bargains first when looking for something. And if I don't find what I want, I keep checking back, since the stock is constantly changing!! I'm a Smart Bargains-aholic!!

I placed an order and was in the process of moving, but the site had given me an estimated arrival date so I decided to ship it to my current address. After I hit submit, the site then gave me a shipment date of over a week and a half later, which is when I was supposed to have been in my new home over 400 miles away. I immediately sent an email to Smart Bargains customer service to have them change my shipping address (I couldn't find the phone number on the site to call them). They didn't reply for 5 hours and said that they couldn't change anything, and that I would have to contact UPS myself to try and get the package re-directed. I spoke with a supervisor and they were so unhelpful! I will never order from here again because they have no idea what customer service is, and it's not worth it to save a few bucks!

Anyone who wants the best quality at very reasonable prices, which are easy to order and arrive quickly, will be very surprised, pleased, satisfied, and will recommend Smart Bargins.

Smart Bargains provide no technical help, you can't delete items from the cart, so you cannot checkout after your shopping is done.

I have ordered from Smart Bargains for the last four years and everything has been nothing but the best.
