Jude believes that her best friend Sally has never gotten over her breakup with womanizing Michael. Ironically, Sally and Michael remain best friends, but she loves talking about his bimbo of the month.

The current entry is a Brit in New York, Katie. The new fox immediately detests Sally whom she sees as a rival to her claiming Michael's affection and ultimately love. Sally feels insulted by Katie's short shrift of her. Meanwhile, Jude concludes that Michael has not gotten over Sally either. They seem so perfect together even if he now is starting to gaze at Sofie. Should she play adult matchmaker who might be perceived as interfering crone?

Once the audience understands who's who in this intriguing, contemporary tale starring a likable Alfie, fans will enjoy the storyline. The prime players are all nice people even when Sally and Katie detest one another due to their respective relationship with Michael. The exchanges between the key players are often amusing, but at times loaded with angst. Readers will be hooked wondering whether Jude will find a dead rabbit when she pulls the matchmaking hare out of the hat in this fine chick lit novel.
