“Terrible Customer Care”

When Enterprise came to pick up a hire car, they managed to damage a neighbors own car, which we caught on film! They barely offered an apology to either us or the neighbor, and then say that their customer service is US customer service in the UK! This doesn't look like good customer service in any country! “Ridiculous customer service”

Enterprise catch phrase is "car hire with US customer service", does this look like customer service in any country??? As they were picking up my car they crashed it into my neighbour’s car in our carpark! What did they offer after they damaged my neighbour's car as they picked it up from me? “Questionable business practices and erroneous charges ”

While my vehicle was in for repair I had an Enterprise rental. The Enterprise employee specifically instructed me that if I have an i-Pass transponder I only needed to have it in the vehicle, and no registration would be required... A month later I am receiving daily email invoice letters from Enterprise for every toll I went through, amounting to hundreds of dollars in ridiculous fines taxes and erroneous fees. I have national breakdown with my insurer , a very good company , I broke down yesterday & claimed my hire car as per my policy , the insurer got Enterprise to call me after 7.00pm last night from a 24hr branch at Glasgow Airport , I explained I worked in Edinburgh & needed transport straight away they said I would get a call after opening time 7.00am , I called them lady phones back they have no cars to hire out from any of there Glasgow branches including the Airport branch , they claim same… Read Full Review

A tad late but just wanted to say how grateful we were to the Northallerton Enterprise Car Rental team, a new manager, around Christmas time. We were dropped off at the station by one of the their staff, he was then going straight to Middlesbrough up the A19. “Never use Again !!”

I will never use them again !! Absolutely terrible customer service. I called in, having used them before on more than one occasion, to enquire on a price to hire a lwb sprinter van for 2 days. I did not need the van until the following week so there was ample notice. I was told the cost would be £200 + ??? “Plus Member since 2010, just lost my business”

I have been a frequent renter since 2010- earning multiple free rentals. I always use a debit card for my rentals, and expect to pay high deposits for this. I had a reservation on January 16, 2018 at Phx Sky Harbor Airport location flying in from New Orleans for a 1 week rental. When you use a debit card for an airport pickup they require you to have a return flight for them to confirm. I did. “AVOID Alamo, National and Enterprise!”

For the past 42 years, I have flown from London to Glasgow each December to catch up with family and friends. In that time, I have only had problems with 2 car rental companies - Enterprise and National - both part of the US-owned Enterprise group. Despite immediately providing the rental details, venue, charges and refunds dates and 'looking forward to hearing' from her, I have heard NOTHING MORE of Enterprise's Social Monitoring. Clearly, a very busy lady with so many disgruntled renters posting complaints. Hardly surprising when it took TWO MONTHS to respond to my original post. Also worth checking out Martin Lewis' MSE website where they cite ALL THREE ENTERPRISE STABLEMATES - Alamo, National and Enterprise - as drawing down rather than ring-fencing excess credit card deposits in the event of possible damage to a vehicle where no in-house excess insurance has been purchased. Make your own car rental decisions from that!

Now almost THREE MONTHS since 'Carol H of Social Monitoring' in the EnterpriseWHOcare Department's request for information on the two rentals at the core of my complaint - which i provided! - STILL NOTHING! I can only imagine that Enterprise's Couldtcareless Department has been closed due to terminal apathy.

“Enterprise are a joke”

Hired a car for 3 days on the 18th December, when the car was returned to Newcastle Airport it was inspected and the lady said she would email the invoice later as she was too busy. Instead they charged £1000 to our card for damage that did not exist. No evidence sent and no communication, we will report to Trading standards and the police in the new year as we suspect fraud. I have received now after a lot of complaining £900 back and that they have kept £100 for miscellaneous damages, which still have not been communicated to me and they will not disclose, probably because they did not occur! I do not have the energy or need the stress to pursue the £100. I’ve just decided to write it off as a bad experience. But will never use Enterprise again and also will continue to advise others not to do so.

We had the use of a car from Enterprise in Tonbridge, Kent recently through our Audi cover, following an accident. The overall experience and service from Enterprise was actually really good. They delivered a car to us at home, explained all of the excesses and paperwork and the lady who did it was very friendly. “Customer Service Not!!”

We book on their web site and it was a very good deal in Toronto Canada. I sent an email asking a few questions CWD but did not get a reply. they give us a mini car when it was agreed that a compact or better car. we argued with them and eventual got what we asked for. then they said we would be liable for the full cost of replacing the car is it was written off. “Watch out if you hire abroad and have excess insurance...”

We did not take Enterprise excess cover as we have an annual excess cover insurance from the wonderful Insurance4carhire. Enterprise debited 250 euro from our credit card and then refunded when we returned the car. They do not preauthorise this sum as other hire car firms do. So when we got home we saw on the credit card statement, the debit and credit. We hired a van as we were moving, so far so good, then on the way to return the van, my husband caught a bollard and scraped the silver on the side of the van, nothing to much to worry about, just repaint over the size of a five pound note, no big dent or anything, it was litually just a scrape of silver. We have already spoken with a manager who has told us tough! It is appaling how we've been treated and won't be using this company ever again and won't be recommending it ever! It cost us over £1,200 for three days use in the end. No refund, no sorry, nothing. Just said that you use good garages to get the job done, and that they don't over cost things, well we beg to differ, even the staff thought it was WAY overpriced.

I was disappointed in the car that was supplied by your company in that when holidaying in the U.S. or Canada, I always treat myself to a larger American style SUV that is more suited to the roads in those counties and comfortable for long journeys. My Sister in law and husband rented a care from Enterprise care rental Russell Street Dublin 1. When they returned the car last Monday, the person at enterprise refused to return the €500 as they claimed the tyres were worn. They were shocked and I got involved. I could not understand why a customer would be charged for tyre ware and tear as that is the point of the rental, one pays for the car and any acceptable/normal wear and tear.
