After many years watching emmerdale I have decided enough is enough for me. Story lines are too far fetched and really violent . The character Aaron is too nasty and when it shows him punching a doctor in the face in the surgery its too far gone now. All this is early evening TV omg

I have watched Emmerdale for many years since I was a child and it was called Emmerdale farm.. I also stopped watching EastEnders several years ago as it was nothing but Doom and gloom and now Emmerdale is going the same way. The recent storylines have been nothing but sadness and tears and with mack being stabbed tonight Rhona losing Leo in a ridiculous sad plot and it's obvious that Belle's marriage is going to be a controlling mess. I really cannot put up with more sadness, I no longer look forward to watching.

Can’t believe they got rid of Rishi character and replaced him with a wooden one. Just not liking the storylines at the moment. Lydia storyline so unreal and boring. Mackenzie storyline unrealistic. Too many gays in one village .white shaming . Caleb (love the character and actor) but all the trouble he went to, to get the trust of his family now he’s coverting with his nephews wife ????‍♀️Marlon overrated,Mandy realistic. Victoria and Jacob stupid. Although I like Dawn and Billy thought she murdered that copper ,must be saving that for a rainy day. ????Brilliant actor who plays Sam Dingle should of won an award ????

For god's sake Lydia !!!! Look at what you have not what you've lost. Which is nothing. Don't put us thru weeks of this drivel. Good character originally but falling into category "Boring" !!!! Emmerdale fan since beginning.

I mean, who wrote this stuff? How long is Lydia? After her assault situation the killing of the man who done it, keep trying to justify his death, he is a sexulal predature . What is wrong with her? What is wrong with the producers who write this show? For God's sake is getting on my nerves. Who in their right mind wants to know the full blank facts about a bloke. Assult somebody and feeling guilty about how he died and why he died and how he died. And who cares!! nobody! produces get a grip change a story line, will you? Who cares!!@ happened to him. Lydia in the show need to grow a back bone and producers. Rewrite script Come on in reality how you make him. People or women or men in a real sexuall assault situation, making them feel about this... This doesn't happen no way does it happen. Should probably make in these people feel like rubbish is getting boring. I almost feel like turning it over. I won't watch It no more.change the tune !!

Finding whole storyline of the solicitor very racist with comments like the jobs are full of only white people which is completely untrue

Three people have left of late at a moment's notice and none of them have the money or support to manage elsewhere. This is so unrealistic. This on top of little work done throughout but still have the money and no mention of work.

Used to love Emmerdale years ago as it had a mixture of what is reflected in every day small village life. it usually included business,romance,emotions,the characters had a lot of depth.Now there are so many weak characters,only one or 2 characters are given good quality scripts,what about Noah a lot could have been done with him as he's a lot older now and he can deliver very witty lines, Amelia's character is boring, so many troubled depressing people in one small village! Some storylines aren't very believable or don't develop well, some bad acting too, lack of chemistry with some. Mack & Charity were a great couple they really bounced off each other. Cain, Moira always excellent acting those actors can handle anything that's thrown at them. Time to do a deep dive into the popularity of the actors/characters.I am persevering with Emmerdale in the hope that it will get better.Liam,the Doctor, is a bit depressing,the storyline with Wendy & their writing had some good laughs & could have coninued.Bob is so boring, disappointed Wendy didn't leave him!

Absolutely Terrible Acting By Susan Cookson In Emmerdale - So Annoying ! She Pretends To Cry In A Scene - No Tears & That Whiny Noise She Makes Pretending To Be Upset - Where Did She Have Acting Lessons - If Any ! At Least If You Are Going To Do A Dramatic Upsetting Scene - At Least Make It Authentic ! There Is Never Any Tears , She Does NOT Even Show She Is Upset - Her Acting Is A Joke ! Tonight The Scene With Bob , Him Confronting Her With Her Affair With Liam , & She Just Looked Like She Had Been Told She Had Just Won The Lottery ! Get Rid Of Her & Employ Someone Who Can Actualy Act ! Its Embarrassing To Watch

Hi I’ve watched the program from the beginning the trouble with it now it’s full of queens bringing the program down I’m sick of it been shoved down your throat you’ve just lost a long life viewer.

I’ve been a follower of the soap for years but really, accepting a complete stranger into the family on first meet is ridiculous and then to plan a get together for a family that clearly aren’t functional is farcical. Who is writing these scripts that are supposed to keep viewers interested? If this continues, I will be looking for alternative programs to watch at this time of an evening!!! Not impressed!!!

Emmerdale certainly has changed, it is supposed to be light entertainment but it has become increasingly doom and gloom. What on earth is going on with the new vicar and his family, he's constantly flying off the handle and his parishioners seem an inconvenience and his daughter! Her attitude is really getting on my nerves. I'm now watching out of habit/loyalty but not very often for enjoyment

So many flaws: Pregnant girl sets out for a hike and picnic during onset of well advertised storm. Trees falling without a crack, because they'd already been cut to allow them to fall over when the wind machine pointed at them. Cars, caravans being flipped over and a hanging basket and background trees are still. Then the story line said Liv was crushed from the waist down, but one camera angle shows Liv's legs and waist fully intact with just a metal bar resting on her. Then there was Sams fatal flying injury but he lives. so many more. Faith week was absolutely brilliant, this week absolute joke! I can not believe the same producers involved! Liv acted a great part, super actress, but the producers ruined what could have been brilliant. Goodbye Emmerdale, you have celebrated 50 years with a joke! The production editors and special effects team need to be embarrassed.

I’ve been watching the old episodes and the scripts, the characters the set and content is so much better. More realistic to what a small village in middle England represents What happened to the vets practice the farmers and their characters? Even the set is plastic, the script writing is driven by the PC all exclusive society we are being forced to accept I’m all in favour of diversity but they have taken it too far! The script writing and authentic story lines were so much better back in 2001 than this current trend! It’s just not believable anymore the pub always looks empty with little atmosphere they would benefit from looking at some of the old episodes! Where’s the humour? I used to love Emerdale since they changed the set it’s just not the same it’s like watching holly oaks in the country it’s just not believable anymore it’s so sad! It was a great soap back in the day the writers need to look back and stop writing for the minority groups and think of the majority !

The never ending storyline of Faith dying from cancer is really disconcerting. I know they are higlighting what cancer can do, but, there are many types of cancer & one cap does not fit all? Faith appears to be strolling through her diagnosis with very little intervention from her macmillan team, Oncologists etc. My wife 2 months, ago was diagnosed with terminal Lung Cancer & given 6-12months. Since her diagnosis she is undergoing Chemo. The Hospital we attend has really opened our eyes in just how many people are suffering with this evil disease, & people of all ages too. We have seen children, people in every generation. Some look like the old films of the Nazis concentration camps, whilst others appear to be looking fit?? However, getting back to Faith. My wife would love to even be able to go outside for shopping, or even to get some fresh air? Her condition prevents her from doing any of these things as her daily regime is mainly spent in bed. I image some people undergoing this ordeal could be like faiths character, but, from what I have seen most are not. And what makes things even more upsetting is that the storyline is more of a Journey viewers are obliged to take with her? Do you not think it is being dragged out more than necessary? My wife has watched the programme for years & has enjoyed it in the main, but this nightly review is becomming most upsetting as for her the reality of it all is constantly being thrust down her throat. Thank You

Script writers need to do more research, and maybe get lives and friends to actually understand how life works!!

Emmerdale is the only soap I bother with, but just lately I feel like I want to stop watching. Now that we have got rid of the unbelievable Meena storyline, I was hoping for some good 'normal life' story lines and the signature Emmerdale humour. But no. It's just depressing. The cast are spending so much time in the hospital (cancer, strokes, everybody being beaten up) that I sometimes think I am watching Holby City or Casualty rather than a soap. Or perhaps a public information film. What shall we lecture our viewers on this week folks? Racism, climate change, drugs, gay rights etc etc blah blah blah. Since when was Leyla a drug addict? Since when did Kim have heart to hearts with random people she met in a cafe? Oh, and when Mary was about to divulge her big secret, I said to my husband, laughingly, I bet she's a lesbian! Yes, we did see that coming. Emmerdale has a long history of tackling difficult subjects well, (such as Zak's testicular cancer story, Hollie's drug addiction, domestic violence etc) but all this virtue signalling feels like a tick box exercise. If you are going to deal with difficult issues, do it one at a time and do it well, and in depth, like you used to. The standard of acting has gone down hill, and no wonder. The actors must feel mortified being handed story lines that do not fit with characters that have developed over years. Sack the writers please Emmerdale, enough is enough.

Has the whole village got dementia everyone seems to be picking on noah especially Amy and kerry as the entire village forgot they killed Vanessa dad and Al blew the pub up also have the producers know anything about the law now its been proven meena caused all the accidents then jai should be exonerated and insurance money be paid getting back to the village and breaking the law virtually every character in emmerdale as broken the law if you need to keep writing this garbage then at least try to put some realism behind it and get writers that live on this planet

In a village of two men and a dog, we have every box tickrd. Three cheers for Wokism over reality. Homosexuals men, performing hours before the watershed. Lesbians and bisexuals, murderers, adulterers confidence tricksters, liars, cheats, mental health, fornication (Noah - really! Ha!)No pets, no babies - Where's Evie, Amber, Theo, Thomas. Gawd - I dedpair and have left this daft show. Maybe Sam could become the Head of the Dingles.
