Needed a torch for general use and decided to buy a decent one, so went for the orb. Traditional torches always run out of batteries or fall apart and I noticed this was also an LED Torch and the brightness is awesome compared to normal torches. I've even dropped it and it doesn't even scratch, can't praise it enough!

This is the next generation of compact pocketable flashlight torch. Incorporating the latest technology with modern design.
A torch that will last you a life time with the ability to upgrade as leds become even more efficient.
Unique style & practical switch make this the latest must have practical gadget.

Alsmith's Response to orb's Review

The torch is OK but the above 'reveiw' is more like the makers trying to sell you one. And inaccurate- with the ability to upgrade as leds become even more efficient.- is wrong or the reveiwer doesn't really understand what efficiency is.
The white LEDs won't get much more efficient, perhaps the reveiwer means brighter which is NOT the same as efficiency.
Brighter will reduce battery life, but it is still going to be far longer than filament lamps. And the LED don't produce a beam in the same way as bulbs- bulbs remain better for searching at distance. LEDs are better for closer work and can give a whiter coloured beam- but the white can vary a lot between different white LEDs.
The other advantages are long life of the LEDs compared to bulbs (100,000 hours v 10 hours depending on the bulb type) and durability- no filaments to break if dropped or when subject to vibration.
But greater efficiency?-- lmao!
